Does not care about serious warranty service I recently bought a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.0T. It was my first experience with their dealership. I was very pleased with the purchase experience. Shortly after, that my 2014 Santa Fe 2.0T suffered engine failure. Although I had purchased that car new at another dealer, I elected to have the warranty covered replacement at Wilkins, probably a mistake. It took several weeks to get the engine,[not their fault] finally it arrived last Thursday. Cody from service had called when it came in and assured me it would be installed the next week. I came by a week later, nothing has been done, and I was am now told it “probably” will be done next week. I pointed out Cory’s assurance and was told Hyundai gives the dealers a certain period of time to get it installed once it arrives and it will not be done until most of that time has expired. I pointed out I have been renting a car and now have another week or more of rental cost. Couldn’t care less, service guy said they would take care of me…. right. Total baloney, clearly the representations made to me last week were just sales crap to get me out the door. I have given them high ratings on every surrey, but if this is their customer service on maintenance it is not good. The day after this occurred Hyundai corporate contacted me and left a message inquiring if I was satisfied with the repairs as they thought they had been completed and the car returned, Perhaps Wilkins lied to them as well, I left a message at corporate and am waiting for a response. Door Handles Fall Off When we first purchased this car in 2010, a door handle fell off in the first couple of months. Hyundai replaced it free of charge. Fast forward to 2 When we first purchased this car in 2010, a door handle fell off in the first couple of months. Hyundai replaced it free of charge. Fast forward to 2019. Car has only 45,000 miles and in the span of 2 weeks, the exterior rear right passenger AND the driver side handles came off. This occurred when opening the doors. While we have a 10 year/100,000 warranty, Hyundai will not honor replacing the defect. Estimated repairs are near $500. This is obviously a safety issue with the driver’s side inoperable and requiring driver to climb into car. We see many online complaints regarding this issue and are disappointed with Hyundai for not standing behind their product. We purchased this car because of reliability and trust and went on to purchase 2 more Hyundai vehicles. We keep our cars for a long time - up to 200,000 miles and have never had handles fall off. I initially went in for service on my 2004 Santa Fe but because of the issues with it, it made more sense to put the money in a newer car rather than a 15 year old with 188,000 miles. Mike has been very helpful in explaining my 2018 Santa Fe to me since it offers much more interiorly, than my 2004. I've had to call Mike several since purchasing the car with questions and he has been professional and patient each time in understanding my concerns. . More

Since purchasing my vehicle, I have had my maintenance, and a recall done in their service department. Again, I was pleased by the friendly, helpful and knowledgeable personnel. As a single, senior women with little knowledge about car buying, the personnel at Wilkens Hyundai made the experience and continues to make me feel like they really care. I highly recommend visiting Wilkens Hyundai before you buy a car. More

Their service department seem to be slipping. I've gone to Wilkins for years but the last few times things have been getting to be less and less customer oriented. They required an appointment for service. Pretty normal, right. But, be careful, because they don't make sure to have the parts they'll need to make the repair. I wasted approximately an hour going to and from the dealer for a scheduled appointment only to be told they ran out of the needed part. They knew when the appointment was established that the part would be needed. Unfortunately they didn't check to see if they had the required inventory on hand to meet the commitment they made. Further, wjen theu "ran out of parts", they made no effort to contact me to reschedule. What also was upsetting was their new additude. Wherein, not having the part, they felt was a reasonable excuse for blowing off the appointment....no apology needed. Service level maybe on the way down. Careful...this may be the new normal for their Service department. More

They had it negligently repaired, as the paint doesn't match the rest of the car. I have emailed them multiple times, and called them as to my dissatisfaction and the need to fix the car properly with matching paint, as they smashed it. They have not once ever gotten a return an email or phone call. I have no choice but to file a lawsuit to recoup the damages on my $53,000 car that has mismatching paint and body damage. I do not recommend this dealer to buy a car from or do any service work. If there is any issue, they will not work with you and will never get back to you. Avoid this place.... More

I usually go there after I get off work without an appointment. They usually get me in right away, and get it done in a timely manner. If the repairs or service require more time, they set me up with a loaner car. John has always been my go to guy. He goes above and beyond the call of duty. I will be going in soon for my 3,000 mile oil change. More
