Very pleased with my experience. Third car I've bought from this dealership. Professional yet friendly and not pushy. Addressed all of our needs and answered questions at our speed. Everything was don from this dealership. Professional yet friendly and not pushy. Addressed all of our needs and answered questions at our speed. Everything was done well. But, it is a 2008 RAV4, not 2007. More
My wife decided to trade-in her 2006 Honda Pilot and purchase a mini-van. To my surprise fully loaded mini-vans actually cost $40k! So we looked at both Honda and Toyota for a used mini-van. We ended purchase a mini-van. To my surprise fully loaded mini-vans actually cost $40k! So we looked at both Honda and Toyota for a used mini-van. We ended up at Wilde Toyota and was immediately greeted by Nehi. He was friendly and professional, and actually listened to our needs for used mini-van. Nehi showed us a few used mini-vans on the lot, and thoroughly explained the differences between the different mini-vans we saw. Unfortunately there weren't any on the lot that my wife was interested in. Nehi took us to his desk and actually searched other dealerships for other potential mini-vans that met our needs. During that time, he learned that they just received received a 2005 Toyota Sienna. The car was just received, so it hadn't been prepared for showing, but Nehi managed for us to view it. Although it was older than we were looking for, it only had 30,000 miles, so we were interested. Nehi arranged it for my wife to pick up the mini-van the next day and take her time test driving it, which I thought was great. I really like the no pressure sales attitude that Nehi used with us. My wife went back to the dealership the next day and dropped off her Honda Pilot, so that she could test drive the mini-van and that Wilde Toyota could look at the Pilot to give us a price for the trade-in. My wife drove the mini-van for about 5 hours and decided that she wanted it. We went back to Wilde Toyota with the mini-van with the intention to purchase the mini-van. Please note... we got to the dealership around 4:45 PM. I told Nehi that this would be a simple purchase as long at the numbers were fair, but unfortunately that is when things went south. Before I get into my displeasure with Wilde management and finance department, I want to make it VERY clear that working with Nehi was an absolute pleasure. Nehi has been one of the best salesmen that we've worked with and we've purchased a total of 11 vehicles in our lives. Before we went back to the dealership, I made sure to get FAIR estimates on both the Honda Pilot and the Toyota Sienna. And so the debacle begins! WORKING OUT THE NUMBERS - Nehi gives me the sales workup sheet that they were going to give us $12k for the Honda Pilot. This immediately upset me, because KBB's recommended price for that car is good conditional was $15k, and excellent was $15.9k. The Pilot was in exceptional condition, but had high miles, but KBB takes that into account, so I thought that $14-$15k would be fair. Like I said, I'm looking for a FAIR deal, and $12k for the Pilot was insulting. Nehi went back to the Wilde management (who doesn't talk to the customer directly), and within 5 minutes, they were willing to give us $14.9k for the Pilot. I'm sure that they would think that they customer would be happy with that, and I'm glad that they were willing to be fair with the trade-in, but rather it upset me because they moved nearly $3k without even blinking. This was my first hint that this dealership would be pulling more typical sales techniques. They also came down a little on the Toyota, but from my research the initial price was fair. FINANCING - Prior to going to the dealership, my wife call our bank Chase and they told us that we would qualify for 5.25% on the used mini-van. I decided to try to do the financing with Wilde, because it does make the purchase simpler. After running our credit, they came back with a finance rate of 12.99%!!! I told them to stick it where the sun doesn't shine. Nehi went back to the Wilde management and finance group, and after 10 minutes came back and stated that they would match the 5.25%!!! How is that possible?! The answer to that question is that they basically try to screw consumers over by getting non-informed consumers to just accept the interest rate that the dealership tells them. At this point, I would have left the dealership immediately if my wife didn't really want the mini-van. Oh... and when we went to sign the final paperwork, it didn't have the 5.25% on the contact... they put 6.25%!!! It sickens me that dealerships actually try to pull this stuff with consumers. WARRANTY - I was initially nervous about purchasing a 2005 vehicle, because it didn't have a warranty. I asked Nehi about potential warranties, and he told me that there weren't any available, unless I wanted to pay to have the vehicles gone through the Certified Used program, which wasn't worth the approx. $1,700, because you only got 3 months or 3,000 miles of coverage. But as I was finalizing the deal, the finance guy told me that there was warranty coverage available. It disappoints me that my salesman didn't know that was an option. It is almost as if the different departments of Wilde don't communicate at all, except when it comes to taking advantage of the consumer. That is one area in which there is a synergy! When I asked the finance guy about warranties, I asked about a Toyota warranty, but he told me that it wasn't worth the higher amount. Rather he convinced me that the Fidelity Warranty Company was the way to go. It sounded like a great deal, but about a week later I REALLY learned about the product and company they were pushing - http://www.consumeraffairs.com/auto_warranty/fidelity.html I would love to know the kind of kickback Wilde got pushing that one! So at approximately 8:30 PM (almost 4 hours later!), we finally completed the transaction and my wife had her mini-van! To make a long story short, Nehi is an exceptional salesman and actually cares about his clients. It is too bad that the Wilde management and finance department can't learn from him on what it takes to have good customer service. More
I was greeted as soon as I got out of my car by a salesman & asked if there was anything he could help me with. If I could, I would rate Chris even higher then a 5, (even though he drives a fading Fo salesman & asked if there was anything he could help me with. If I could, I would rate Chris even higher then a 5, (even though he drives a fading Ford). He made me feel very comfortable. He didn't make me feel like I was just another sale for him, or that I was interrupting his day, like another dearlership did. I wish I could have gotten more for my car, but it is what it is. I will definitely recommend your dealership. My mother will be looking for a used Venza in a year or two. P.S. the Cappuccino he recommended was very good. More
This was a very good experience for us. Tommy was courteous, friendly, efficient, patient and handled everything in a solid business-like manner. Appointments were kept on time, all of my questions ( courteous, friendly, efficient, patient and handled everything in a solid business-like manner. Appointments were kept on time, all of my questions (some of which were not the sharpest,no doubt)were answered courteosly and to my full satisifaction. I appreciated the fact that he arranged for remote access even though the deal was struck without it. A nice touch...the kind of thing one remembers and will pay off for the dealer because it sets the right tone and enhances the likelihood of favorable referrals. A bit of a hedge on the last question about price. I am fully satisfied with the price we ended up with, but thats a tough question for me to rate in terms of good versus great. I think I'd have to be in the auto sales business to be totally comfy with that answer. More
I am pleased with my car. However, I would like to have a few small dents taken off. As far as the service I received, I was treated with respect. On the average of 1-10 I would give the overall rating a 10 few small dents taken off. As far as the service I received, I was treated with respect.
