Although I did buy the car, the salesman and managers took me for a total fool. First they would not negotiate the price though I'd told the salesman that it needed to go down in order for me to sit down took me for a total fool. First they would not negotiate the price though I'd told the salesman that it needed to go down in order for me to sit down and talk further, which he ASSURED me possible and thus why I pursued the purchase. However, his manager refused to budge although my family and I had purchase at least 6 vehicles there (one less than 3 months ago) in the past 10 years!!! Only when I expressed my extreme disappointment in their lack of customer appreciation did they agree to negotiation. When the transaction was done and over with, I was only handed one fob key and so asked for a second but the salesman said he didn't know where it was or if there was one and that if not, he would get me one at cost price. Rather than search for it immediately, we decided that he would look at a later time and get back to me. But, he never did. I ofcourse called him and ended up returning to the dealership where ofcourse, there was no second key and therefore, he was to walk to the parts department with me to explain the discount I would be entitled to on the new fob key. However, while waiting for other business to wrap up, the salesman disappeared on me and so I had his manager page him. I waited for maybe 5 minutes and finally spotted him entering the building and making his way to the key box instead of me. I took it that he might have been with a customer and so I walked over to him and asked him. He confirmed that he was and asked me to give him 3 minutes. I agreed and watched him grab the key to a vehicle, walk out to the lot, and get in the car with the customer to ride along for the test drive. Furious, I walked myself to the parts department to explain my situation myself. The person at the counter was by far the nicest person I'd dealt with. He told me cost price would be impossible unless the sales person was offering to pay for this out of his own pocket, which I HIGHLY doubted. I was fooled yet again and after thanking the parts person, walked out. I will contact a different Toyota dealership and have them help me instead. The point of my experience is that it may be possible that the pressure to remain the top if not a top Toyota dealership in the midwest is costing this business to forget its customers. I am definitely ending my family and I's 10-year relationship with Wilde Toyota. I never want to return to Wilde Toyota unless ABSOLUTELY necessary. More
