We rate Wilde Honda credibility very low, due to sales tactics high in MISREPRESENTATION. We were ready to purchase a new vehicle, which should have been a simple, no finance transaction. We had an "out-t tactics high in MISREPRESENTATION. We were ready to purchase a new vehicle, which should have been a simple, no finance transaction. We had an "out-the-door" internet quote that was confirmed twice in email and once over the phone. The agreed upon quote specifically noted that we did NOT want financing. When we arrived at the dealership to finalize the deal, we were told the price would be $500 higher due to parameters that were NEVER DISCLOSED to us in previous communications. Apparently, our confirmed, agreed upon quote was only available for customers taking out a loan with Wilde to finance the cost. We surmise that the requirement for financing would allow Wilde to collect a minimum of 1-month of interest on the loan. Well-played Wilde! But, are the few extra dollars of interest (and perhaps some corporate incentives) worth selling out your credibility? When we expressed our displeasure to the new car sales manager and asked if he was going to honor the quote we received from the internet sales manager, he stated he could not do that. His reply was that the agreed upon internet quote was not a "formal quote" and would not be honored by Wilde. After this experience of feeling completely MISLED, we wrote to the Wilde Automotive Group general manager. The only response we received was a call from the new car sales manager who admitted that "some things broke down" (internally at Wilde). Further, we were given extremely short notice (same day time limit) to make the deal at our agreed upon terms. By the time we connected with the sales manager, we had a 4-hour window before closing to drive to Wilde and complete the transaction, which was too short of notice for us. Likely, the 1-day time requirement coincided with Wilde's expiring end-of-month sales quota, as we have not heard back from Wilde since. More
The sales associates and service people are so rude. We had an appointment to have all new tires on our SUV, and we arrived and they had no recollection of which tires we had ordered or wanted. This place is so unorganized. I had a sales associate slam a door on me, instead of holding it open. Not the type of people I want to be dealing with or trusting with my vehicle. They just have this attitude, and they are definite scammers. They say they don't haggle and the discounts are in your trade-in, but this is just their way of screwing you over more. DONT trust these people. More
I just got a 2011 Ford Fusion from AJ at Wilde Honda. The car runs great, it's the perfect size for me and gets good gas mileage. In the past I have not been particularly fond of going through the hassel of negotiating the purchase of a vehicle, but I can honestly say that my first purchase at Wilde Honda of Sarasota was such a hass through the hassel of negotiating the purchase of a vehicle, but I can honestly say that my first purchase at Wilde Honda of Sarasota was such a hassle free experience that I just recently made my second purchase at this dealership. Both Steve and Kim are true professionals and work hard to satisfy their customer's needs. I would and do recommend this dealership to friends and families. More
My much younger brother went to Wilde Honda in search of his first car. During the negotiation process, he calls me and says that the salesperson indicated that he couldn't move on the price but that he wou his first car. During the negotiation process, he calls me and says that the salesperson indicated that he couldn't move on the price but that he would not have to pay tax if he registered in Illinois. And as such, he 'would save $1,000.' As a tax attorney, I was well aware that while he might not be charged tax by the dealership that he would have to pay Illinois tax (which is roughly twice that of Wisconsin) at the time he registered in Illinois. I inform my brother and tell him to confront the salesperson. My brother's description of the salesperson's reaction makes it pretty clear that he was well aware of his misrepresentation. I am outraged that this dealership would misrepresent the facts to a young, inexperienced kid out to get his first used car. So I call the dealership. And I get transferred to the wrong sales person. While he did not deal with my brother, his response suggested to me that the folks at Wilde have a way of describing this tax savings. Then I get directed to the used car manager. While he did not negotiate with my brother, he did indicate that he met with him during the course of his time at the dealership. And he indicates that it must have been a misunderstanding. And that the salesperson was 'foreign' and that English was not his first language which might have contributed to the miscommunication. I ask my brother to describe his salesperson. He describes the man as an older white man with a southern accent. Completely disgusted with the sales tactics and blatant lies by this dealership. This is likely a relatively unique situation because most people will have no option but to register in Wisconsin (my brother is a recent college graduate who is living with me in Wisconsin but also still living with my parents in Illinois). Obviously the dealership will indicate that it is a complete misunderstanding and that they are tax compliant, but wanted to put this out there so that other people may avoid similar misunderstandings. Tom came highly recommended from a family friend and after spending a full day car shopping with him we wouldn't send someone to anyone else to consider buying a vehicle. He went above and beyond to make sure we were fully informed about all aspects all the purchasing process and left no stone unturned. He made sure we were comfortable throughout the decision-making process and we were made to feel like family. He was knowledgeable and very understanding to our needs. He never gave up on us even when the search was taking much longer than expected and provided many tasty cookies to hold us over. Without his presence we're not sure we would've drove away with a new vehicle and smiling faces. More

As my current car was totaled in an accident, I needed a replacement on short notice. On 12/17/2013, I requested information about two vehicles that were offered on the Website of Wilde Honda (a 2011 Civic DX-VP and a 2011 Civic LX). I made it clear that the 2011 Civic DX-VP was my main interest. Christina (Internet sales manager) answered all questions immediately (I was concerned if these vehicles were smoker-cars and I had concerns regarding oil changes on the LX). She was also upfront about the cost (the price was VERY low - $12,789 for a certified 2011 Civic with less than 25k miles) and informed me about all additional costs (a $179 service charge from WildeHonda and the usual suspects - Taxes and Registration fee). The fact that WildeHonda offered free CarFax reports was also helpful. I informed her that I would like to see the cars on the following day - but that I would have problems giving an exact time as I had to travel with public transport (Bus from Beloit to Chicago, Amtrak from Chicago to Milwaukee and then a taxi). Christina made sure that Cambriea (the sales associate) would pick me up in Milwaukee (thus saving me the taxi fare). I arrived in Milwaukee around 11:50 AM. Cambriea was already waiting, we arrived at WildeHonda at 12:15 PM and I left 1:35 PM with my new (used) car. The 1 hour and 20 minutes includes the time that I needed to go to my bank (they have a branch on the other side of the street) to get a cashier's check. WildeHonda had everything prepared - the 2011 DX-VP was parked in front of the entrance, and after 2 minutes, I made the decision to buy it. There was no pressure to finance (they did not waste time to try to switch into a credit customer). The Business Manager - Justin - quickly explained the add-ons that I could purchase, but he accepted a polite "Thanks, but no thanks" immediately and did NOT try to pressure me into buying anything. The whole conversation with Justin lasted less than 2 minutes. After returning from the bank, the finance manager - Erika Obst - went through the paperwork. She checked that Justin had informed me about the add-on-service options, but made no attempt to pressure me into buying something that I don't want. I came in fearing a drama (the unusually low-priced Civic being a bait, or long negotiations that I really don't want all the extras like pre-paid maintenance e.t.c.), but I got a quick, simple transaction in a friendly atmosphere (My money in exchange for their vehicle). The fact that the gas tank was full is another nice gesture - driving a car of the dealers lot and having just enough gas to reach the next gas station is something that I don't like. I hope that WildeHonda continues their low no-haggle price policy. That saves a lot of time and stress. More
I traveled 2 hours from Chicago to this dealership to get the car I liked. I talked to Hector Soto over the phone to make sure that the car was still available. Hector was very friendly and helpful. He calle the car I liked. I talked to Hector Soto over the phone to make sure that the car was still available. Hector was very friendly and helpful. He called me at the end of the day and then next day to let me know if the car was still there. Once we got there He got us through the process very efficiently. He was more interested in satisfying our needs than making a sale. I would recommend him to everybody. More
