I purchased my 2013 Honda Fit from another Madison, Wi, dealer--Zimbrick. which provided all prior service to my Fit. Recently, I moved 25 miles away to Sun Prairie where Wilde is the only Honda dealer. dealer--Zimbrick. which provided all prior service to my Fit. I needed B-1 service as indicated on my dashboard--oil and filter change (which included courtesy all-points check). The service adviser pressured me to have a transmission fluid replacement. My Fit has 57700 miles on it, and he insisted that one was due after 30,000 miles. I called Zimbrick. The service advisor asked whether B-3 service was indicated. It was not, so I declined, but the service adviser continued to insist, and I continued to decline. The service report summary flagged my transmission, At home, I checked the Manual for my Fit. Transmission fluid change is indicated only when B-3 service is indicated. There is only one exception, if my Fit had been towed for more than 30,000 miles. Mine has never been towed. I cannot trust Wilde ever again to service my Fit. Why? The service adviser was not adequately trained or informed, or Wilde preys on ill-informed customers to up-sell them on service they do not need. Excessive friendliness is an intoxicant for the unwary. BTW: A word. There is no national sharing of service on a Honda vehicle among dealers. That's how Wilde thought they could dupe me. It failed. Was traveling through town on my way home when the lights on my dashboard came on ;notjust one all of them and the car started to buck….not good.Fortunately I was less than 5 miles from Wilde East Honda and on my dashboard came on ;notjust one all of them and the car started to buck….not good.Fortunately I was less than 5 miles from Wilde East Honda and it was 10 minutes before they were closing for the night.I was greeted by Renee Skow (she is a super star).Told her my story and she assured my that my car would be looked at first thing in the morning,I called 5 minutes after they opened in the morning and the service department was already on the case (thank you Darius he’s another super star).Renee calls me in the morning with a progress report and assured my I would by back on the road in no time. Car was in the shop about 3 hours,problem solved and I am back on the road. If I lived closer they would be my dealer. Thank you so much for your kindness and good work More
We've been to Wilde twice since moving to WI. We have had regular service, and a recall fix on our CRV, and bought a used Pilot. Everyone has been helpful, friendly and courteous. Received exceptional service from the service department. Our Service Advisor Mikaila and the Service Dept Asst Manager Val, went above and beyond to get us back on the road. We were travelling from MN to OH when we had a brake warning light come on. We were very lucky to have found Wilde East Towne Honda . Staff helped us over the phone to evaluate the need to come in and the staff on site clearly took extra efforts to get us the needed parts overnight and have the work completed as early as possible on a Saturday morning. We are pretty sure Brad, the Technician who did the actual work, also made it a point to help get us back on the road as quickly as possible by being ready to go with the car when the parts came in. We were on our first road trip after 15 months of COVID restrictions going to see our daughter who lives in Ohio. So it was especially meaningful to have received the timely and thoughtful help to get us on track. Sebestian did a fantastic job of having our vehicle detailed! He also had the headrest fixed without a charge. He always, always goes above and beyond! We are so happy! Previously, we had been told by Cheryl that it would be $80 for them to just even take a look at the headrest. And we had just bought this vehicle in October! This was the first time I was bringing the vehicle since it's oil change a few days before. Also, want to give a huge shout out to those "underground" who are actually doing the work! The detailing is amazing! Our oil changes have been amazing! Sebastian even walked with me to the counter - explained the charges and checked me out! I would go to him every time! More
