Finance dept warranty push. The contact with sales (Mikel Lawson) was very good. My wife and I live two hours away and had a long drive on a Saturday morning to look at a used Ho The contact with sales (Mikel Lawson) was very good. My wife and I live two hours away and had a long drive on a Saturday morning to look at a used Honda CRV . I had looked at the vehicle online extensively . I knew what my hometown bank would finance and knew what I needed my payments to be. The CRV was ready and waiting for our test drive when we got to Wilde. Mikel greeted us when we came back and we told him we wanted it. I offered the asking price and no dickering around. No trade from us! His job was VERY easy that morning .He said the finance dept could probably match or beat my banks APR for the loan. We had spent about an hour at the dealer by the time that Chris West from the finance dept got a hold of us and said we would be very pleased with what he worked out. From THAT moment on I felt like we were being held hostage and the experience got very annoying and lengthy for me and my wife!. I know the drill, but was shocked at how many different extended warranty plans were being thrown at me. The top one adding $1000's of cost of financing. I resisted and actually stated that I wanted to keep my payment and term where they were. He went back and forth, literally. Threw more numbers at me, then tried scaring me by showing how many parts could break down and not be covered unless I had this warranty. Lowered the cost twice . In the end, I relented and said ok ,with it STILL adding almost $2000 more to my loan . It only added $6 more per month , but extended the loan for 3 more months to pay for that warranty. I was not and am still not ok with how Chris West would not leave it alone, after being told I wanted to keep the loan without any added cost! More

At first my car buying experience was not so great to say the least, but once that particular salesman was removed from the process it was nothing but great! I would strongly recommend working with Renee Skow in Sales, Chris West in Finance and Peter Bothe as an overall Sales Manager. My experience with each and every one of them was great. They went out of their way to make sure my experience was the best it could be and made up for it when there were hiccups caused by the initial salesman. Awesome All Expectations Met!! We were in the market for a used CR-V. The website was excellent and we were able to narrow down our choices easily. Once we arrived at the dealersh We were in the market for a used CR-V. The website was excellent and we were able to narrow down our choices easily. Once we arrived at the dealership, Mikel assisted us flawlessly. The dealership wifi was also an excellent tool for additional research. We were able to look at eight different vehicles and we eneded up test driving three vehicles. When we finally made our choice, there were a few cosmetic flaws that we were concerned about. Shawn and Mikel immediately presented solutions and the deal was a no brainer. Shawn was also excellent online and answered my emails within minutes, if not seconds. Mikel was also very helpful in ordering our Honda all weather mats and having the vehicle looking new when we picked it up the next day. Mikel also went above and beyond and got the rusty plates removed from my old Toyota free of charge. He even lent me his dealer plate so I could get the vehicle back home to Verona so I could sell it to my 16 year old nephew. Even after the sale, Mikel and Shawn came through, once again. One of our master keys, which was new and unused, was not programmed for the vehicle. I emailed Shawn and within minutes we were invited to come to the dealership to address the issue. My wife took the vehicle the next day and the key was programmed within seconds. Again, no charge!! I strongly recommend Mikel, Shawn and the Wilde dealership. The Wilde experience was miles above the lousy experience I just had at Smart Toyota in Madison last week. I will definitely buy from Wilde again!! More
