I came into Wickstrom twice to try and purchase a vehicle from a salesperson and Chris Moose the sales manager. The first time I was testing the waters to see what they'd give me on my trade and potentia from a salesperson and Chris Moose the sales manager. The first time I was testing the waters to see what they'd give me on my trade and potential payments. With the exception of low-balling my trade (which I expected) all went well. I even got a follow up call from my salesperson. Which was a feather in the cap. So I felt good about the place and wanted to do business in my hometown. I came back about two months later. The experience went a little different though. This time their inventory was low. Which they only had two very expensive trucks on their lot. I also came prepared with a trade-in offer from another dealer. Well, actually multiple dealers. Which on the high end were 7k higher than their previous offer. I laid all my finance goals out there and was 100% ready to buy. Long story short they low-balled me again. 5k less than my best offer in-hand. Which, since I told them about, I was actually surprised with. They didn't even take a penny off the price of the truck. NOTHING. Literally were trying to bury me in the vehicle. They tried to make me feel small for not seeing that they held all the cards. I want to clearly state they are not receiving 1 star for these poor sales tactics. Cause, heck, I get it. Make money. They are receiving 1 star for the following. Nearing the end of my visit they tried to smear a competitor that was offing me top dollar on my trade and were going to make me a deal on a new truck. Chris the sales manager asked me if I had seen their Yelp reviews. And then the salesperson pulled them up. "Only three stars." "240 reviews... that's a lot of one stars." To me that was pretty low. To bash someone else because you are unwilling to do business with me. Really? Shame on you. Both of you really. Good news is the dealer they tried to smear did give me top dollar. To all of our surprise we also discover I got customer prefered pricing. Which even though they had low inventory they gave it to me. Stating, "We just wanted to see our customers happy." Oh, and by the way their 2300+ Google reviews and 4.5 stars trumps these guys couple hundred. More

If you are looking for a car, new or used, most will quickly find out how difficult the pandemic has made that process, which is already hard to begin with. With that being said, Wickstrom was a god sen quickly find out how difficult the pandemic has made that process, which is already hard to begin with. With that being said, Wickstrom was a god send. I went to a handful of other dealerships before heading into Barrington Wickstrom, I won't name names, BUT I will say that Barrington was night and day compared to the others. You are immediately met with friendly faces and an environment that is classy and professional (not what I got at other dealerships, AT ALL). Also, it was very COVID friendly for anyone who is nervous about shopping during this time. All precautions are set in place and followed, very spread out and clean! I had set up an appointment with Jared, who met with me and my mom and treated us with nothing but honesty, kindness, and great knowledge to answer any questions we had. I never once felt like I was being tricked into buying something that I wasn't 100% comfortable with. This happens often with salespeople where they will just try and sell you anything to make their commission and this is not a feeling you will get while car shopping at Wickstrom. I signed paperwork with David who made the process super quick, while explaining everything to me, page by page (he will keep you laughing along the way, as well). So moral of the story, if you are in the market for a car.....go to JARED!!! ;) You will not be disappointed. More

They also conducted a bumper-to-bumper inspection and provided a report on all findings. All good. The Waiting Area is very spacious and comfortable. I also took advantage of the free car wash on the way out. Thank you. I look forward to my next visit. Jared stayed within our budget and didn't try to sell us above our means or what we didn't need or want, which was super important to us since we had other bad experiences at other dealers (not Jeep) that didn't respect or listen to our wishes.
