Over torqued lug nuts as well as damaged lug nuts during a routine inspection. Brought this to Ian's attention (Ford Service Manager), but Ian pretty much blew me off. My rear brakes were low and did not a routine inspection. Brought this to Ian's attention (Ford Service Manager), but Ian pretty much blew me off. My rear brakes were low and did not pass inspection, so decided to do the job myself. I had to use a breaker bar and my full weight (185 lbs) to break the lug nuts free. If I had to use the equipment in the vehicle to change a flat tire, I would have NEVER been able to remove the tire. Also, the lug nuts were all rounded and marked up. My back ground is a Mechanical Engineer (I also have a two year automotive degree) and I work on all my vehicles (Replacing breaks, changing oil, tire rotations, etc). The fact that the service center did not even offer an apology for my experience tells me that they do not give a darn. More
