On Monday December 16, 2024 I had sent a request to White’s Auto Mall Honda in Hopkinsville, KY regarding the purchase of a New 2025 Honda Pilot Elite Vin #5FNYG1H83SB091901 with, as stated on the web White’s Auto Mall Honda in Hopkinsville, KY regarding the purchase of a New 2025 Honda Pilot Elite Vin #5FNYG1H83SB091901 with, as stated on the web site, 1 mile on the odometer. A sales representative, Jadia Allen, called me back and I made a cash offer, no trade in, for the Honda Pilot. After a little while she called me back and stated the dealership accepted my cash offer. Later that afternoon I went to the bank and got a cashiers check for the balance due, $56,381.25. When I arrived to the dealer to complete the purchase, Jadia met me and stated the Pilot that I was buying wasn’t on the lot because the sales manager was driving it on his day’s off. She stated that it would be at the dealer the following day. I thought that was strange. I asked her how many miles were currently on the Pilot. She stated over 400 miles. At that point I told her I wasn’t happy about that and I wasn’t going to buy the Pilot. I asked to speak to Joe Francis, the Finance Manager, whom I had spoken with earlier in the day. I stated I wasn’t buying a car that I felt was “used” at that point with the excessive number of miles. He offered to compensate me $0.25 per mile that was showing on the odometer. I stated no and that I felt as though I was buying a “used” car. Joe also offered to make a deal on a lower trim package. Jadia offered to reduce the price $381.00 dollars. I told them both that I should have been told that the mileage was high on the “new” Pilot. They stated that they didn’t find out about it until I was enroute. I declined the purchase and left the dealership very disappointed. I had driven 2 hours to the dealership to make this purchase. I also cannot understand why someone would drive a vehicle that is the top of the line, hard to find, rarely in stock vehicle when there were several lower trim models to drive. More
