Trustworthy, competent, efficient I purchased my 2018 Forester from Prime Subaru in Norwich and continue to use them for service. The service department is great. I am always impressed I purchased my 2018 Forester from Prime Subaru in Norwich and continue to use them for service. The service department is great. I am always impressed by how they walk customers through the issues with a vehicle and the various options for repair, including the urgency and the different costs associated each decision. Air conditioner repair-under warranty A/C went out on my 2017 Forrester. Prime was able to get it in and repaired (it was the condenser) the same day I called, which was amazing. I arrived at 3pm walked to Norwich to do some shopping and by the time I came back my car was finished and they also rotated the tires! I was very grateful knowing that my car was ready for the trip. This has been by far the worst customer services experiences I have or had a 2017 WRX which I bought from this dealership. I have had a lot of problems with this car. Within the first 1,000 miles, I needed to I have or had a 2017 WRX which I bought from this dealership. I have had a lot of problems with this car. Within the first 1,000 miles, I needed to take the car back because of a faulty part that was in the transmission that should be not been there because it was a 2017, not a 2016. They installed the new part but they kept telling me it would be done by the next day but it never was. Eventually, I got the car back and the problems kept on coming. 4th gear would just violently vibrate at random sometimes, which I had to record and show them because they could not recreate it during there test drives. They replaced the shifter but that did not fix the problem. Then the car started to make a knocking sound which they can't seem to figure out what is going on. I also ordered touch up paint that never came, which I asked twice for and was ignored. I also e-mailed them questions about why my car was not heating up during those super cold days during the winter which was also ignored. Then comes the main reason I am writing this review. My car again started to have transmission problems at the beginning of July. (It would not shift into some of the gears) gain so they would believe me and I was also moving to Texas on the 30th. I tell Prime that I am moving and they said to me they could rebuild a car by then and this would not be an issue. They took my car and did not give me a rental or a loaner so I had to go and find a car my self for the week I thought. It is around the 16th of July at this point, I keep having to call them this entire week to get updates on my car because they are not calling me or returning my calls. After a few phone calls, I finally get an update and that my car will be fixed and its the 23rd. So the 23rd comes and goes and still no car. So I call them to see what's the hold up at the end of the day on the 23rd. They said something about the parts being late and it will be done tomorrow, I said ok...The 24th comes and its the same story. So on Thursday, I call Subaru of America to get them involved to see what they can do for me. From Subaru of America I get a guarantee that will be done on Saturday the 28th of July at 12 PM. Saturday comes and no call from the dealership...I call and my calls go unanswered. So eventually I get ahold of someone and they tell me my car does not even have its transmission installed...I have a mental breakdown because I have to be out of my apt by 9 am on the 30th of July and I have pets that cannot stay behind anywhere and wait for my car to be done. Subaru or Prime is not offering any solutions to this problem, so I have to demand for a rental car to drive to Texas in, they did not want to do this at first but after being forceful they agree. So I get a rental car and drive to Texas and just after I leave, I get sick from all this stress from this situation and am up for 36 hrs straight throwing up. I get to Texas and have to return the rental car. Now I have to figure out how to get my car. Subaru offers to fly me back and to do the whole drive again. I can't because the only good news I got during this whole trip is I got a job down in Texas, so I can't just fly back and spend another 4 days driving down, I have to start work. I go back and forth with Subaru and they agree a few days later to send my car down. Just to keep track I have been without my car since the 13th of July, it's now Aug 6th. They get some cheap car hauler to come and get my car and take it down to Texas. The car hauler picks it up a day late which at this point I am not surprised Subaru, Prime and the car hauler can't stick to a schedule. They pick up the car on the 16th and tell me I will get my car on the 24th. The 24th comes and no car, I get a call and am told the truck broke down but I will get my car on the 28th. The 28th comes and I still do not have my car, the car hauler does not know where my car is so now I do not have a car....I have spent a lot of money on buses and Lyfts to get around Austin Texas this month which was not an expense I was expecting. Subaru has not offered any help for a rental car during this time and does not care that I am without a car now. The moral of the story is do not buy from Prime or Subaru and do not go cheap on shipping. More
