Don’t get a service here. It’s highway robbery to have a full service. Not only that but they don’t tell you the price of the service till they are already picking the car up. Not only that but they don’t tell you the price of the service till they are already picking the car up. $309.00 was what I was quoted over the phone as they were picking my vehicle up from my work. That’s $309 for an oil change and changing the air filters. I also asked about my battery being tested and asked for a price. Was not quoted a price and charged $44 and some change for a battery test, which I could have and would have just done at auto zone for free if I knew the price. I had a heat shield that had come unattached and asked how much it would be to replace or fix it. They told me the price of a new heat shield, $150, and I declined that and asked how much to just fix it. The person I spoke with said the tech would look at it and he’d tell me a price and get back to me. I was never contacted about a price and they repaired the heat shield with two large washers and two new bolts, for that it cost me an additional $69 and change. So after getting way over charged on all this they then did not get my car back to me on time and I had to wait to be driven to the shop to get my car. My car was picked up at 0820 for a service at 0930. I reached out throughout the afternoon to get the status of my car and was not answered till after I left a voicemail at 14:23 asking where my car was and that my shift at work ended at 14:30 and needed my car. At 1431 I received a call back saying my car had just gotten finished but that they could not bring it to me because the drivers were all out, and that I’d have to wait 15 minutes for their driver to come get me from work. I was late to practice for the football team I coach because of this and it just added to my already high animosity towards the whole ideal. I bought my car through White River Subaru and was treated well by the sales staff and decided to show my appreciation by using their maintenance shop. But if I would have known that they use these back handed tactics to swindle money from their customers I would have just gone to a different shop that does work on time and for a much better price. This experience has just put the absolute worst taste in my mouth and I do not expect to return for anything not covered by the warranty. More
