Don't buy from White Plains Honda...or its sister dealership Paragon Honda. They might say the dealerships are family owned, but "family" is not what they espouse when selling or servicing your car. dealership Paragon Honda. They might say the dealerships are family owned, but "family" is not what they espouse when selling or servicing your car. If ownership knew of complaints the continued ineptitude wouldn't happen. Let's just say, they don't have "Consumer Relations." The sales staff don't know their own product. Pre-Owned department might say the cars are certified, but that only means they charged you for that 12-month, 12000 mile warranty; it doesn't mean they actually serviced the car properly for sale, or that the service department did any service correctly. After 4 return visits for a series of problems, I contacted Consumer Relations. That accomplishes nothing. Contacting American Honda about service works to some extent, but really only as liaison because the final decision is White Plains Honda's, but they really don't care nor have any skills to recognize that their jobs and commissions depends on referral, reviews, etc. They change prices on cars daily, even re-listing cars that have already sold for more than they sold. Rude sales staff. The lot looks like a sleezy operation, and it works like one. However, similarly, what you see online is NOT what you get. Have the car inspected by another mechanic immediately if you really like the price for that car; White Plains Honda may allow it but don't accept it, though. And even if you find the price you like whether on their own website or other site, they don't honor that price. Go elsewhere; pay a few bucks more for better service. They just don't care for much other than the $$$$ at sale, which in itself is perplexing because based on experience I would never return to have a car serviced there, which is when dealerships really make their money. Go figure. Plain and simple, buy a Prius, or buy a Honda elsewhere. More
I purchased 4 Honda's from the dealership when it was On Roberson Avenue and had mostly favorable experiences. Just Prior to their move to Central avenue, they were taken over by a larger dealer network. Roberson Avenue and had mostly favorable experiences. Just Prior to their move to Central avenue, they were taken over by a larger dealer network. SInce then, dealing with them has been nothing but frustrating. (By the way the service department is still Excellent!) I received a call a few months back offering early lease tremination on my Accord. While the car is fine, the new model is nicer, so I thought I'd go in and see what they had to offer. I made an appointment, brought some ad's with me, and the sales person matched the best price, so far so good. Then she took the details on my Accord and after 15 minutes with the manager told me that she could not take back my car until the end of the lease as it would leave them in a negative position. My question: Why, before cold calling me, and having me waste 90 minutes in the dealership, did they not run the numbers and only call customers where the early termination would work. I told them NEVER to call me again. I hve received MONTHLY calls since then, on my cell phone , no less, all trying to get me to come in for the same deal. This ill thought out tactic has cost them a customer for life. I will pay MORE MONEY, to go elsewhere. I have filed a DO Not Call complaint as well. More
I bought myself a new 08 Honda Pilot for my birthday and was completely satified with the service I received from the sales consultant Taina and the dealership as a whole. The staff was very courteous offer was completely satified with the service I received from the sales consultant Taina and the dealership as a whole. The staff was very courteous offering me coffee while I waited. This was my first time buying a NEW car and was surprised that it was such a good experience. Everyone from the sales consultant to the finance manager were professional and friendly. I will definitely continue to purchase/lease vehicles from this dealership. More
DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP! I visited their pre-owned showroom on Bank Street and I regret the day I ever set foot in there! Albert worked really hard to sell me a car and as I was one day away pre-owned showroom on Bank Street and I regret the day I ever set foot in there! Albert worked really hard to sell me a car and as I was one day away from picking up the car, they backed out and told me I could not have the car at the price we agreed upon. All this after a few visits to their dealership, numerous phone calls to get everything set up, AND I had already put insurance on this car. Needless to say, this was a huge hassle. It seems now that it was a blessing in disguise that I did not end up buying a car there, but really...it was such a mess!!! Whatever you do, do NOT even consider dealing with these people! More
It seems that everyone that works in the dealership is extremly unorganized. I have had to go to the dealership 5 times and spent hours there each time because nothing was prepared when it was supposed to extremly unorganized. I have had to go to the dealership 5 times and spent hours there each time because nothing was prepared when it was supposed to be. The woman from the finance department was extremly rude and was not nice at all. We went to the dealership ready to buy two cars. On the fourth day, when we were leaving with only one car, the manager finally decided to help us out and make a deal with us that we should have had on our visit to the dealership. More
A. Went on my wifes birthday august 12. talked with alfred and negotiated a price. he said he will call my insurance company for me and will register the car. Got my car on august 25 (was on vacation alfred and negotiated a price. he said he will call my insurance company for me and will register the car. Got my car on august 25 (was on vacation). august 29 got a call from sherri (white plains honda) that I do not have car insurance! I drove off the dealer's lot without car insurance! Sherri was trying to get my permanent car registration done and requested permission to call the insurance company on my behalf. She immediately called my insurance. I called an hour after she called me to confirm with my insurance company that sherri did indeed call them; that there was NO OTHER person from White Plains Honda who called them. Some service! B. After talking with alfred, I was referred to David Field who tried to sell me LoJack and an extended warranty. I refused. Then he pretended to mumble that " that's ridiculous. we don't let our customers pay the bank fee" loud enough for me and my wife to hear. He then said that the monthly is @575 but if I take an extended warranty it will be only be @585 or $10/month for 36 months = $360 for a warranty that cost $1460. The so called "bank charge" ( which he said was about $1,000- anyone ever hear of that??)is then "incorporated " to the cost of the warranty. Here is the clincher. He said that as long as the warranty is has not ended, I CAN file for a cancellation (even on the last month of the warranty) and get my FULL money back PROVIDED that I have NOT used the warranty at all; otherwise it will be prorated (if I used it). If something is too good to be true, it probably is not true. Did he know that he violated the Federal Truth In Lending Disclosure act? I finally called American Honda Finance and spoke with someone in the know. He told me that "there is NO bank charges whatsoever" and that what ever their payment calculator (on their website) says, is what I shall pay. I asked if there was any fee associated with procuring a loan from them. He said that only for small stuff like doc. stamps. etc. Won't even exceed $200 but DEFINITELY NO BANK CHARGES. Told him the whole story about the lie David gave and they asked for the name of the dealer which I gladly gave them. They also told me that the warranty refund is prorated after 60 days WHETHER I USE IT OR NOT. I then called Honda Care (for the extended warranty) and they basically told me the same thing. Went back today and complained to the manager (does he really NOT know these things are happening???) and confronted David who told me that: 1. re. the bank fee, someone told him that. Asked who- silence. He cannot confront me because I told him I spoke with American Honda Finance. 2. re. the full refund even-to-the-last-day-provided-you-did not use-it extended warranty, he denied saying that it was full refund if we did not use the warranty (at any time so long as thw warranty has not expired). He said that he told me it was prorated whether I use it or not. I told him that me and my wife are not deaf and wished I had taped the conversation. That he said I can get a FULL refund even to the last month of my warranty provided that I did not use it. Any one can tell me how Honda Care company can make money this way if it has to refund everything it sells (provided it is not used?) I said I wanted my extended warranty refunded in FULL. He said that he has to talk with the owner and to come back (drive 15 miles to his place again???) and left me. Then manager came over and I told him everything and said that perhaps I can speak to the customers currently in the shop about my bad experience. The refund paper appeared. I urge all of you to choose your dealer wisely and do not succumb to the high pressure sales pitch done in the finance office. There is a reason why they do it behind close doors. They say it is for OUR (the customer's privacy) I think it is for their benefit. More
Bought certified 2005 Accord, and the car was pulling to left. Brought for service and wheel allignment was to be done. Picked the car same afternoon and noticed the invoice I received showed added 3 miles left. Brought for service and wheel allignment was to be done. Picked the car same afternoon and noticed the invoice I received showed added 3 miles to my car. The odometer, however, did not show the added mileage. Car was still pulling to left and they added pressure to tires - 40psi !!! in tires. When called they did not take me seriously and told me to bring the car back "if you really want". Bottom line: they cheat and I would never buy a car from them. Regards, J. Gorecki More

It seems li White Plains Honda Preowned Vehicles This dealership was so dingy, and the salesman was not knowledgeable of the vehicles that are there. It seems like it was taught how to sale cars from a dog. I checked the carfax report for the vehicle that I was interested in, and found that the info he had given me about the car was not true. Then when he was confronted eh said that he didn't quote himself on what he said. That right there just turned me off. So please if anyone is in search of a preowned honda don't go to Bank St, White Plains, NY. Vexed Customer More
they always pushing to do a brake job even though the brake indicators are not squealing as it says in the manual. they went as far to put the car in the lift when all i wanted was an oil change. last ho brake indicators are not squealing as it says in the manual. they went as far to put the car in the lift when all i wanted was an oil change. last honda dealership said the brakes will last only a couple hundred miles but that was 20,000 miles ago. i believe the pad will still last and that they pressure to have the pads replaced prematurely. not nice More
