I have been window shopping for cars as of late, and just recently was driving by your showroom, and decided to stop in and have a look. No sooner than a few seconds, I was greeted by Ivy and her great smile recently was driving by your showroom, and decided to stop in and have a look. No sooner than a few seconds, I was greeted by Ivy and her great smile. We quickly engaged in conversation, I had a lot of questions about the model I was interested in (Corolla) and how it compared to other cars on the market. I was surprised she was able to answer every question I had, she definitely knows her stuff. She is very friendly, and I definitely had a rare pleasant experience shopping for a car. I didn't buy the car yet, I'm still comparing prices, but if and when I make up my mind, I'm heading back to White Plains Honda to talk with Ivy. She was very attentive, patient and helpful. I just hope she's nice enough to give me a good deal on the car. ;) More
I just signed a lease on a new car. Customer service was great. We were there during the freak October snow storm. And Naveed still went out in the lot to check out vehicles for us! I have not heard back from him, Honda. RECONSIDER!!! Please read the e-mail sent to the Vice President and General Manager today, October 31, 2011. I have not heard back from him, but hope I do soon! Brian: I am reaching out to you directly as I have had an extremely unpleasant experience recently at your White Plains Honda Dealership. On September 24, 2011, I came in to lease a 2012, red Honda Accord coupe. I was turning in a 2008, blue Honda Accord coupe. I drove nearly 300 miles from Alexandria, VA to make this purchase. I had heard great reviews about the customer service your dealerships offered and it came highly recommended. I worked with Lisa Fabro (who is no longer with White Plains Honda), a wonderful sales associate as well as Kurt Shoen, who was my business manager. We quickly and effectively completed the deal and I was pleased. I was over my miles in the 2008 Honda by approximately $1,000. Lisa Fabro took the 2008 car and did an appraisal indicating and communicating to myself, my husband, and Kurt Shoen that White Plains Honda would buy me out of my excess miles. I was extremely pleased that this would be taken care. The sales manager, Paul Vilca was also aware of my closing of this deal. I left extremely happy and delighted with my purchase. Unfortunately, things began to unravel, when Lisa Fabro left the dealership. I tried to work directly with Paul Vilca for nearly three weeks to obtain the following: 1) Tags and Title for my registration 2) Pay-off of my over mileage bill On October 13 and 14, I reached out to Paul to make sure my registration and plates would be transferred from the 2008 to the 2012 Honda. Paul told me not to worry, that I would have them by October 24 –The temporary tags expiration date. For the next week October 17th- 21st . I continued to try to get my updated registration. When I called on October 24, 2011 and spoke with Paul, I was told that it was “okay to drive with expired tags.” He said that as long as I was not doing anything, I should not get pulled over by the police or get ticketed. I told Paul, that this is illegal, however, that did not speed up the process. I was furious that this instructions were not only encouraged but also the first and only option given to me from White Plains. Paul’s instructions to me aback because, this breaking the law in state of Virginia. When I told Paul of the legal ramifications, he told me again, not to worry, and I would be fine. Since October 24, 2011, I have not been able to drive my car because of Paul’s lack of follow-through and lack of professionalism, and lack of customer service. It was not until today, October 31, 7 days later, that I received a scanned (non-readable) copy of my new registration. I still do not have a hard-copy. Even more disconcerting, is that I called Paul, today, October 31, 2011 to find out about my mileage pay-off. He asked me if I had paperwork saying the dealership would pay-off the excess miles for the 2008. I informed him of the paper that was signed in front of Lisa Fabro, Kurt Shoen and himself. Lisa informed the group during my deal that my2008 car’s resale value was greater and the buyout would be done. Lisa would send additional paperwork to me in Virginia and call me in a couple of days if she had questions. I signed the new lease terms with the understood agreement among all parties that the 2008 Honda car miles would be paid off. I was also told that dealerships do this all of the time. Lisa left a few days later and now, “no record” of my paperwork can be found. Paul indicated he could refinance my payment and include the overage in miles. He has made no legitimate attempts to resolve this issue. –I am now wondering if White Plain Honda likes to “bait and switch” its customers, by offering one deal, but selling them another after the fact. I am beyond furious. – One because it took me so long to get my registrations and plates for my car. Two, because I was told by Paul Vilca it was okay to drive illegally with expired tags. Three because now there is no record of my buyout of miles on my 2008 vehicle. I spoke with Justin, your associate yesterday, October 30, 2011 and I spoke with your Executive Assistant, Rachel Brand this afternoon. I was looking for a 2008-2009 Honda CRV that had between 20,000-40,000 miles on it.
