Read all your paper work closely before signing....My sales person was very friendly, however, once I got to finance I was taken advantage of. I was charged several thousands of dollars for a "extended sales person was very friendly, however, once I got to finance I was taken advantage of. I was charged several thousands of dollars for a "extended warranty" from Honda. Once I did some research on this warranty I found that other Honda Dealers charged no more than $900-$1000. I read the warranty contract and found that I had 60 days to cancel it for a full refund- which I did. In order to cancel it I had to go to a Honda Dealer (I did not go to White Plains Honda) they also told me that I got ripped of. Would not recommend this dealership. More

Having looking at several different SUV's we decided on the Honda CRV. We checked prices and availability of inventory at several different Honda dealers and settled in on White Plains Honda. We were greeted by Keith Alexander who really took care of us. He confirmed the price we were willing to pay, processed the paperwork, and set our minds at ease when he assured us that he would have our CRV EX-L impeccably cleaned and gased up when we returned the following day to pick it up. Sure to his word our new CRV was in pristine condition when we arrived to drive it home. We were additionally impressed with the way other White Plains Honda staff assisted in the process. James Blloshmi helped expedite the paperwork while Brandi Robinson skillfully took us through the vehicle's impressive features. All-in-all a very good experience. In the future we wouldn't hesitate about returning to White Plains Honda when looking for another vehicle. More
I am a longtime Honda buyer & was looking for a Honda Element online. I found one @ White Plains Honda but was a little skeptical because of how far away it was from my home & I hoped I wasn't wasting my Element online. When I arrived I met Keith Johnson & he showed me the car & took me for a test drive. I was sold on it instantly. It was exactly what I was looking for. Keith & the rest of the staff took me through the sales process quickly & painlessly & I got the deal I was looking for without a hassle. I told them I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wanted a good deal without the hassle of a pushy dealer just trying to make their quota. White Plains Honda is only concerned with making the customer happy & it showed throughout the entire staff. Thanx again for making it so easy. More

The name of my sales person is not on the list and I would have chosen not to write it in because I do not want to stand in the way of his career. I'm sure he was acting in a manner that was consistent would have chosen not to write it in because I do not want to stand in the way of his career. I'm sure he was acting in a manner that was consistent with his training. However, I was forced to by the form. Athough I was quite excited to be purchasing a new Honda CRV the experience I had at White Plains Honda totally deflated any enjoyment I had about my purchase. The Salesperson was extremely friendly and obviously very well trained in sales techniques. These seem to be primarily a list of passive/aggressive sales tools intended to wear the prospective buyer down to the point where the priorities of the customer change from eagerness to purchase/get a "good" deal to "let me out of here, I can't stand it anymore". I was at the dealer 2/1/2 hours the first day (when I put a down payment of $1000!). I did not get a good purchase price although it wasn't terrible. I was somewhat at fault here by being honest (something I was told to never do at a car dealership). As a result I was only offered a price $5(!) lower than what I had told him I had been offered elsewhere and at least $700 more than the "true market value". When I went back a week later to complete the purchase, I was kept there for over 4 hours!!. There were various excuses after the intial waiting period including: 1. "I can't find the paperwork, let me look around for it" 2. "The insurance agent couldn't send me the forms because they had to talk to you first", "Didn't they call you?". Then a long time elapsed while the salesperson called the insurance company in Texas twice about getting all the info and faxing the forms (about 40 minutes). A subsequent call to my insurance agent confirmed what I suspected: a call was never made to her. It was all a time delaying ploy (in fact I heard another salesperson using the same ploy with another customer). 3. Of course, therer were the as expected, several trips to "talk to my manager" about something or other.. By this time, I was totally exaserbated. Even the salesperson at the next table was smiling at me as if to say "yup, this is the deal here". Then came the negotiating about my trade in car which was worth according to several reliable research sites about $4500 (as trade in, maybe more has it had 4 brand new tires which I forgot to mention but I am sure was noticed by the salesperson when he drove it). I got only $2700 after negotiating up from a paltry $1400. A total rip off. By this time, the salesperson "WON"; I couldn't stand being there any longer and my husband was totally ready to leave and not buy anything. Part of the sales pitch is also to make you not want to start this horrendous process all over again elsewhere. I foolishly agreed to this lo ball trade in costing me approximately $1700 more than I should have paid for me car. Then came another over 1/2 hour wait to get "all the papers" from another location. The salesperson said he was going to get them. As I watched him go in and out of the several doors inthe area and talk to other customers it was clear he was not going anywhere. Eventually he sent "someone else" to get these papers. More waiting... Finally, after waiting again fo rthe "finance guy", we were ushered in his office to arrange the financing. Here also, I didn't get a great financing rate because I foolishly again, told him the rate I could get from my credit union. They offerd me .2% lower rate!. By this time, I said okay. The forms were ready to be signed when I noticed that the term was for 60 months. I was never asked what term I wanted (which was 36 months). If I hadn't noticed this, I would have been locked in a 5 years loan (of course this is the goal of the finance person). As I live in Ct. I got temporary license plates and registration. The permanent plates need to be sent to the dealer and than me. I did receive them yesterday and now feel more comfortable writing this. I waited in case there was a problem receiving them. All in all, although the salesperson had an outwardly pleasant and friendly communication style- it was all a front to get the best deal for Honda (not the customer). Perhaps he will get a bonus for finalizing this deal in this manner. I however, would never recommend or go to this dealership again. I don't like being taken for a "soft touch", which is just what happened. I'm not sure if this review is actually seen by anyone at Honda either locally or at the main corporate office. Something should be done to respond to the way I was treated at this dealership. A reply from the dealership (as I see on the website) saying to call to discuss is not sufficient. That said, I love my new Honda. Thank you for reading this rather long review. More
