Complimentary drinks, snacks etc. all made this usually dreaded task of getting your car repaired a great experience. Service staff were all friendly, and they even found a fix for the long needed driver side heater situation. Thanks! More

A little hiccup when tried to pick up my car and go to evening events, but it was all for safety. Several options were suggested and I was on my way for the evening. James Burton and the other Subaru staff is incredibly focused on and concerned with safety. James found and corrected an unseen issue for me quickly. Issues and parts needed or ordered arrive quickly and are remedied quickly as well. Several great service experiences. More
Great service, but it's Acura problems the dealer cannot fix Great people, service, communication, BUT our 2015 Acura MDX has never worked properly from the day the salesman attempted to introduce the navigation Great people, service, communication, BUT our 2015 Acura MDX has never worked properly from the day the salesman attempted to introduce the navigation system to us. After several service stops and updates, it still does not work. We have the same disfunction with the early braking warning system. Acura should not incorporate electronic systems that will never work and the service folks confirm the systems will never work. More
Not up to my expectations It seemed my service advisor didn't know the history of my car, and what had been done, so some things were recommended that had been done not long ag It seemed my service advisor didn't know the history of my car, and what had been done, so some things were recommended that had been done not long ago. Then they told me my tires needed replacing soon, which floored me because I bought them there - high quality tires - about a year ago. When I balked, they did research and told me something like - "oh, you are right. It's just these tires wear out faster on the outer tread, then they last longer on the last part of the tread." No one ever told me this before. The young man who recommended those tires when I bought them confidently said they were the best, top of the line. My personal mechanic in Wisconsin recommended me some other ones, but I chose to trust the people who built my Subaru. There was also an issue of my battery failing the test. My car is a 2015 Forester. I got it there at that dealership new. That is 3 years. It failed the test. They would not pro rate it because my mileage is over the 36,000 mile warranty. I am struggling to come up with reasons to trust Subaru. My Forester also had a failed transmission this summer, which floored me. Because I was over the mileage for drive train warranty, they told me it would be just over $7800 to replace the transmission. They told me I could call Subaru of America. I did. They decided to replace my transmission free of charge because evidently a number of people are having problems with their S 2011-2015 Forester transmissions. I don't know if they simply put a rebuilt one in, or a new one. The dealership didn't tell me. That problem began with a whirring sound. Now I am starting to hear a whirring sound again. My stomach dropped this week when it started. It causes me to wonder if I simply got a bad vehicle, or if this batch was defective somehow. I was told that this replacement transmission had a 1 year warranty with it. I am hoping that if the transmission is going to have more problems, that it reveals itself in the next 6 months. And even then, if they replaced the transmission again, what does that do to my confidence in Subaru. We saved up to buy this car, and it is one year from being paid off. We were going to have no more car payment after one more year. If I trade it in, or need to get another vehicle, I will have 4 more years of car payments. Not a good thing for me at this time. So ... when I heard about the stock battery failing at this service visit after only 3 years, and that the "excellent top of the line" tires they sold me were getting close to needing replacing, my heart sank, and my confidence started waning. I have idealized the Subaru brand this past 5 years in excitement at getting a new Forester, (hoping it would last me 10 years), over and against Toyota, Honda and Ford. I didn't think my decision was going to end up feeling so much like a crap-shoot. All my research through Consumer Reports and others, pointed me toward Subaru, at least for the need I have for a Subaru type SUV. I am disappointed. These things have caused me to give only 2 stars. My other vehicle is Toyota Sienna van. It is 13 years old, with nearly 290,000, and no major issues. Its in keeping a vehicle this long, that we can justify the expense of getting a new car. These were my hopes for my 2015 Forester. More
Competent, thorough, pleasant Besides the usual care and professionalism here, I'd also have to say that the customer waiting area is the most thoughtfully designed and maintained Besides the usual care and professionalism here, I'd also have to say that the customer waiting area is the most thoughtfully designed and maintained I've ever seen. Greg Nichols had provided me with detailed estimates for three brands of tires I was interested in, on my previous visit. I added a note to the online appointment stating which brand/model I had decided on and wanted installed. Greg was courteous and professional, focused and engaged when I arrived. The tires had been ordered, and he had checked to see that they arrived before my appointment. He went over the estimate of charges, verified the work to be done, listened to my questions and made sure I understood his answers before proceeding. After the work was completed, and the car washed and vacuumed, he reviewed the details of what was done and verified I was satisfied. Greg is a prime example of why my last three vehicles have been Subaru’s purchased from and serviced at White Bear Subaru (15 years). I’ve always had complete confidence in the service advisors and the people working behind the scenes-never had a complaint against White Bear Subaru. More
