The Whitaker Buick Company started business in 1954 on University Avenue in St. Paul. At just 30 years old, founder Bill Whitaker was among the youngest GM dealers in the country. His attention to personal service and emphasis on integrity led to sales and service leadership for the Buick brand in the Greater St. Paul/Minneapolis area and beyond. With the departure of dealerships from the crowded confines of inner city locations, current President Steve Whitaker moved its operation to FOREST LAKE in 2006.
Located just 4 miles north of the I-35E/35W junction, Whitaker is easy to find at the intersection of I-35 and County Rd 2 (Broadway Avenue).

I called Whitaker to enquire about a used car I saw listed on the internet. I was connected to Gary Miskowic. He answered cheerily and was very friendly and informative. When I found out the car I saw was still available I asked if we could come and see it. Gary said of course and he'd be watching for us. He met us at the door and soon his humor and persona made us feel very welcome. He had the car we asked about ready to test drive. He pointed out features on the car and answered all our questions. We decided to purchase the car. Whitaker Buick is certainly a dealership I'd recommend to everyone. Steve had our paperwork ready to sign and explained everything as we proceeded. One of the sales associates even let us watch the Twins game on his laptop while we waited to finish our transaction. We purchased a 2005 BMW from Whitaker. Our salesman was Brad Madison. When we arrived we were friendly greeted by Brad who invited us in. We new we wanted to see the BMW so preceded to check it out and tes Brad Madison. When we arrived we were friendly greeted by Brad who invited us in. We new we wanted to see the BMW so preceded to check it out and test drive. We had our grandaughter who is 2 and half with us so wasnt quite sure how all would go. Brad took over and just was the best with her. He had her an IPAD to watch shows on, crackers and soda. I think she enjoyed her self almost as much as I did buying my BMW. It was a no pressure, great experience and I would highly recommend for anyone to go there to buy their next vehicle. Thanks to Brad and thank you Whitaker! More

We entered the dealership just to look and not be bothered by a salesman. Mike came over and was not one of those pushy salesman.
