The Whitaker Buick Company started business in 1954 on University Avenue in St. Paul. At just 30 years old, founder Bill Whitaker was among the youngest GM dealers in the country. His attention to personal service and emphasis on integrity led to sales and service leadership for the Buick brand in the Greater St. Paul/Minneapolis area and beyond. With the departure of dealerships from the crowded confines of inner city locations, current President Steve Whitaker moved its operation to FOREST LAKE in 2006.
Located just 4 miles north of the I-35E/35W junction, Whitaker is easy to find at the intersection of I-35 and County Rd 2 (Broadway Avenue).

Whitaker Buick was very accommodating to my needs. Mike was willing to meet me late at night to test drive a couple of vehicles and he met me after hours at my house to exchange a loaner vehicle that I was able to use while the Enclave was in route to the Whitaker dealership. I highly recommend the Whitaker dealership for friendly service and fair pricing! They have won my business for maintenance work and my next vehicle purchase. More

Michael made the car buying experience as painless as possible. He treated me as an intelligent adult, which doen't always happen when a woman goes out to buy a car. He asked me about my needs and wants and then showed me vehicles that met those criteria. He is very knowledgeable about the vehicles he sells and the competition. He told me about the options that were on the cars and how the would benefit me. He gave me all the options and so I could make an informed decisions. He walked me through all the bells and whistles to ensure that I could use all I was paying for. He has been in contact after the sale to make sure that I was happy with my purchase. I would recommend Michael and Whitaker to anyone. More

Jerry was our salesman and he went WAY above and beyond for us. When I wasn't sure when we could get my son up to see a car because he is a college student in St. Paul, Jerry volunteered to drive the car f for us. When I wasn't sure when we could get my son up to see a car because he is a college student in St. Paul, Jerry volunteered to drive the car from Forest Lake to St. Paul, so my son could test drive it! Talk about service. He was very cooperative about getting some repairs done at cost and splitting the price with us. The car was priced very fairly and was in excellent condition. There were none of those "games" with the salesmanager that you encounter so many places. Everyone was friendly and didn't try to sell us anything extra. I plan to take my daughter to Whitaker and work with Jerry to find her a car as well. I heartily recommend Whitaker! They are fair, friendly, and easy to work with. More
