We came to Wheelers to check out the new trucks on the lot on a cold Saturday afternoon (Feb 23) to possibly buy in the future but not expecting the business to be open or talk to anyone. Nat came out onto the lot to speak to us then asked us to go inside to continue answering our questions & give us some figures, which ended up being way past work hours. Nat informed us of the incentives, bonuses, etc... that we could take advantage of before the end of the month which was only a few days away. We ended up trading in two vehicles & buying a new truck on Feb 28 (last day of the month). Had Nat not come out onto the lot that cold day, I know we would not have bought a new truck then & possibly not even this year. Nat was friendly & easy to talk to & ask questions of, & we felt he was honest, which both are very important to us. We felt assured, comfortable & confident with buying locally from Wheelers & hope if we have the need to use your service/repair department, that we will feel just as assured, comfortable & confident in that department as well. We also filled out a different survey that came to us via email about our experience at Wheelers & we hope all those positive comments are shared with Nat as well. We were encouraged to research and test-drive as many vehicles as we wanted and were never pressured into making a decision or changing our minds. New 2013 Equinox LT2.....Deal was OK-as good as any other dealership I checked. Logistics / geography saved it (close to home). Sales rep relatively knowledgeable - did not understand climate control system dealership I checked. Logistics / geography saved it (close to home). Sales rep relatively knowledgeable - did not understand climate control system and could not explain $100 "service fee" imposed at delivery that I had not been advised on prior. He did, however still charge it. He seemed most knowledgeable on the electronic gadgets-onstar, blu-tooth, etc. The first offer lowballed the trade severely. Somebody named "Mary" actually left a voice message and made the deal workable. I never had the opportunity to meet Mary. Vehicle at delivery was acceptable. Dealership did a wash job on exterior and perhaps a quick vac but the glass was filthy inside. Overall everyone was very friendly to a new car buyer, deal was OK not fabulous, auto was acceptable, delivery acceptable but I left feeling as though I did not really meet the individual that sold me the car. Buying a $30K+ auto is a big deal in my household, but seemed pretty trivial to the dealership. No service yet to report on. More
