Poor service 1.0 star rating 1/24/2018 1/24/18: I am 52, and I have been dealing with and driving Lexus cars since they first came out (1 gs300 and 3 Ls430), 1 s 1.0 star rating 1/24/2018 1/24/18: I am 52, and I have been dealing with and driving Lexus cars since they first came out (1 gs300 and 3 Ls430), 1 sc430). After working my job of 30 years, I even sold cars for 2 years and own several classic cars. So my point is I know cars and the cars business. Saying that I must say the service I got form Westside Lexus is the worst I have ever had. I live in St. Louis and found a low mileage 06 Ls430 (50,074). The service history was excellent, the car fax was clean, and it even was a 1 owner car that was regularly served at Westside Lexus. The car was for sale at MBK Auto Group (they purchased it from Westside Lexus.). I had them send me a copy of the title, and was able to find and talk to the original owner, who assured me the car had never been in a accident or flooded. So, since the car was regularly served at Westside Lexus I ask MBK would that take it to them and have it checked out for me. THEY HAD NO PROBLEM TAKING IT THERE. So, my next step was to call Westside and explain to them that I was having the car brought to them, and I live in St. Louis, and to really look the car over for me. So, I agreed to have the a oil change which came with a "WORLD CLASS INSPECTION". (Since owning Lexus cars, this is always done and recommendations are given with service). Once the car arrived, I was given a call to let me know it was there, and a day later to let me know the service has been done. I was told that it was really a nice car, and what they "observed", was: washer fluid low, next service check brakes, Throttle body is clean, and all tires require inspection next service. I even asked the service guy would you buy this car, and he replied, Yes I would. So feeling good about the car I paid for the service, and notified MBK that the car was finished, and for them to set up shipping. Here where things get interesting........ When the shipping guy dropped the car off it had 51,001 miles on it ( 27 MILES SINCE LEAVING THE DEALERSHIP). When the car arrived it was around degrees, so I let it run for a while and checked it. The first thing I noticed was a burning oil smell. Next, I noticed the cars heat never got warm. So I left for work, and checked the radiator the next day and found the overflow BONE DRY. I also noticed oil spots in my drive way. So, now I'm getting worried. So I called the Lexus dealer here and set up an appointment (could not get me in for a week). I noticed it was leaking oil pretty bad (Made a mess of my driveway). So I watched the oil level closely, and waited for my appointment day. Since I would need a safety inspection I told them to go ahead and do it (this is the same inspection and printout that should have been done at Westside.) After looking over the car they called me into the service area and this it what they found: (I video recorded everything) 1) Replace right front lower control arm bushings $597 2)Found both valve cover gaskets leaking $600 3)Hood struts no longer supporting the weight of hood $468.88 4) Recommend timing belt and water pump based on manufacture standards regarding Time. $1525 5)Replace front and rear brakes $437.00 x2 6)Found coolant reservoir/radiator low 7) FOUND DRAIN PLUG TO BE FINGER TIGHT AND LEAKING OIL. All together $4438.79 Now if they would have did what the Lexus Dealership did here in St. Louis I would have had the option of backing out of the deal, get the car at a reduced price, or have the selling dealership fix the problems. So, this is when things got worse. I called and talked to the service manager for a hour, and he stood by the fact that "we don't do pre- purchase inspection". I understood that, but what about the as stated "World CLASS INSPECTION" you did. His reply was that is not an inspection! I'm thinking ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!!!!!!!! Next, I talked to Brett Aldrige, and his reply was: "In the 27 miles that was put on the car between the car leaving here and arriving to you, we have no idea what was done to the car. The shipping company could have pulled the car from the trailer and unloosened the drain plug". ------ When he made that statement I ended the conversation with him.----- I guess they took the anti freeze from the radiation as well! This is a case of someone in service dropping the ball. Instead of just admitting the mistake, and helping out the customer, they choose to do nothing. Some one just went down the "Passed Tasks" list and check off things, and did not check them. And if this was done to my car, I"m sure its gonna happen again. So, now I'm dealing with Lexus customer service. Monique was very nice, but informed me there is nothing they can do since the dealership is not owned by Lexus. Next, I talked to the service manager here in St. Louis, and he is going to see if he can help in anyway. But as far as the service I got from Westside Lexus, if was the worse, and far from what I used to when dealing with L More

Always professional, quality & courteous service! I've owned 3 Lexus vehicles since 2010, all purchased at Westside and all serviced from day one by Josh Guerra. Is the service area busy? Well of cour I've owned 3 Lexus vehicles since 2010, all purchased at Westside and all serviced from day one by Josh Guerra. Is the service area busy? Well of course it is. Lexus sells a bunch of new vehicles and has a an even greater number to service. I set an appointment online and when I get there, I may have to wait just a few minutes. Hey, that's acceptable. Josh always has a friendly greeting and has my paperwork ready, so I sign in and grab a coffee, while I generally wait for my vehicle. If it's going to be a long wait Josh has a loaner ready for me. I've never had anything to complain about. He is the best service consultant in my opinion. More
Do your homework before taking your car to Westside Lexus. I recently took my 2010 ES350 into Westside Lexus for a passenger airbag recall. The day before the appointment, my passenger door outside handle bro I recently took my 2010 ES350 into Westside Lexus for a passenger airbag recall. The day before the appointment, my passenger door outside handle broke so I asked them to fix it. They replaced it with a new one for $473.00. I thought that was high so I went home and researched online to find out I could have bought a new genuine Lexus door handle for $174 vs the $282 Westside charged and I could have had a local auto shop install it for $80 vs the $169 Westside charged. I could have saved $197, not including tax. You can't trust Westside. They will gouge you. More

Botched engine repair job Lexus failed to repair a cam shaft seal leak. They returned the car to me several times with engine noise and rough idling. This took 2 weeks. 2 month Lexus failed to repair a cam shaft seal leak. They returned the car to me several times with engine noise and rough idling. This took 2 weeks. 2 months later the cam shaft failed. At first Lexus did not take responsibility and asked for more money for additional service. When it was discovered the cam shaft gear was damaged due to the earlier repair, the susbsequent repair was done at no cost. When I picked up the car, it failed within 2 miles of the dealership. After 2-1/2 weeks, it was finally returned, but the car still does not run smoothly as it did before. I will never use this service center again. For a premium price, I expect premium service done correctly. I did not get what I paid for. More

Why bother 130 dollars for an oil change and 2 .5 hours later I find out from the lady at the counter that my car had been ready. In these 2.5 hours I only step 130 dollars for an oil change and 2 .5 hours later I find out from the lady at the counter that my car had been ready. In these 2.5 hours I only stepped out to the bathroom once. They did not bother to call the ready batch a second time. And when I asked why are they not repeating the announcement, she lied, saying we did. I was next to the counter the whole time. Go there only if you are retired and have all the time and money in the world. More
