Let down After doing plenty of research, my husband and I decided to come here to buy our first new vehicle. We walked away as the first owners of a 2019 Niro, After doing plenty of research, my husband and I decided to come here to buy our first new vehicle. We walked away as the first owners of a 2019 Niro, which broke down unexpectedly six months later (after getting serviced at the recommended time.) We got the car towed into the dealership for repair, where it remain for no less than four months while we continued to make the car payments on a car we did not have. While no one could have predicted this, the dealership hardly did the bare minimum to make us feel cared for. It took me hiring an attorney and showing up to the dealership unannounced to speak with the service manager before any consolation was offered for our experience. I was verbally offered compensation for the extra gas money I had to spend since the rental had lower gas mileage (never happened), and when I requested a new rental car, they did not allow us to work that out until a month later. They at one point offered for us to gas up for free at the dealership, but I work nearly two hours from home and could not practically make use of this benefit as the station would be closed on nearly every occasion I showed up for gas. Since my initial chat with the service manager (which occurred past 30 days of our car being in the shop), the communication back and forth with us regarding the vehicle’s progress was patchy at best. I would request a write up of what had been done to the vehicle and never receive an answer, until very late in the game when I got a sparse email with the vague details of what had been discussed over the phone. I would hear a different story from the service officer and the service manager. I would be promised one thing and it was never delivered on. I was made to feel like a burden for using the dealership-paid rental car, which I had every right to, by being told the number on the bill. We are a single car family, and our new car unexpectedly stopped working, so I don’t know why I was made to feel bad about the cost of the rental car on the dealership. Corporate Kia seemed to be the root of the problem of progress in much of this, but I find it a real shame that this business prides itself on customer service when we, first time purchasers, gave them our business and feel utterly looked over. Shame on you, Weston Kia. I will never recommend anyone go here. If you are looking to buy a car, and especially if you are a young family who would depend on that car that you buy, stay away from Kia, and steer clear of Weston. They have made our first car buying experience an absolute nightmare. More
