Worst car experience ever! I purchased a Certified 2017 Kia Sorento EX in May 2020 with bumper to bumper warranty and powertrain warranty still on the vehicle. After 2 weeks of driving the car, on a Saturd Kia Sorento EX in May 2020 with bumper to bumper warranty and powertrain warranty still on the vehicle. After 2 weeks of driving the car, on a Saturday, I get in it and the car wouldn't start. The engine light and steering wheel light illuminated and stayed on, also a message appeared on the dash that said "Check BSD system". At this point I'm unable to move the vehicle because it wouldn't start. I took a picture of what I saw and sent it to the guy who sold me the car. Needless to say he was able to get the car towed 30 miles back to the dealership on that Monday. Thank God I had another vehicle to drive buy anyway after they kept my truck all week, on that Friday they tell me that nothing is wrong with the truck. The lights were no longer coming on and no codes showed up in the system. They accused me of not putting my foot on the brake when starting the vehicle which caused the car not to start. Even though this was a Kia and it was towed to a Kia dealership and the truck still had active warranty on it, they charged me for towing fees. Needless to say, I took the car back and after driving the truck for another week, me and my children are out and about on a very hot day and we get in the truck. I go to start the car and again the engine and steering lights came on and the "Check BSD" message appeared again. So now me and my children are stuck outside in the hot hot sun because a car that I just purchased not even a month ago wouldn't start. I recorded everything, exactly how I was turning on the vehicle and recorded the lights that came on. I then had the truck towed to my nearest Kia dealership and by the time the mechanic was able to look at it the lights had gone out but he was able to bring up some codes in the history. He was unable to work on the car due to the codes not being active so he suggested that I return the vehicle back to Westgate Kia and demand they take a look at it. He also told me that I was not responsible for paying for any towing fees because my car was still under warranty regardless if they found a problem on the car or not. I got in contact with the service manager Orlando at Westgate and sent him the video, I also sent my salesman the video as well. Orlando told me to bring the car back in so I drove the car back 30 to 40 miles out to get Westgate Kia to fix it. I gave Orlando the printout of codes that the other dealership was so gracious to give me. They kept my car for another full week, then called to tell me oh yea, it was a minor wiring issue but we was able to locate it and fix it. Why was an issue this major on a certified vehicle that I just purchased? Certified means it has been through numerous of inspections to bring it back to almost brand new which I expect not to have any issues with anything for a good amount of time with extended warranty and benefits added. That was not the case for me. There was a MAJOR issue with my car causing the car to have intermittent startup issues and even though I have warranty, I still was charged for towing fees. I shouldn't have experienced this at all!! This tells me that someone did not do their job. I mean Westgate failed me miserably!! At this point, I had already called Kia Corporate to see if they could refund me the towing fee but they needed paperwork and receipt. I went in to pick up my car from Westgate and I did not feel like I was treated with importance. Joey "the mechanic" was busy on the phone and shooed me over to another guy. The guy had me sign something and then he just handed me my key. I asked him could I get a copy of the diagnosis and what they did to fix it because I wanted to send that to Kia Corporate to help them understand why I'm asking for a towing refund and he tells me Joey didn't print out a copy so he guess he'll have him mail it to me. What a mess this has been for me!!! After all of this hassle back and forth, nothing was done as a courtesy to win my trust back over. My car could of been washed and cleaned, they could have given me a gas card, I mean something should have been done as a courtesy. Even after they were proven wrong that something was wrong with my car, no apology was given and nothing was done out of courtesy to rectify the issue with me and I'm outraged!! Worst experience ever!! I wouldn't recommend anyone to this place! They appear to be organized and professional but wait until you have an issue and you'll see for yourself. I would give them 0 stars if I could. More

When I arrived there I was greeted by one of the sales team, Zac Cooke, and it was a pleasure to work with him through my first full purchase of a car. All the staff seem to be friendly. I have had my car for a month now and it has had no issues at all but if it ever does i'll be sure to take my business right back here with this wonderful team at Westgate Kia. More
Worst place to purchase car Terrible!!! Terrible!!! Terrible!!! experience. I recently purchase a car there two weeks ago. Worst experience ever. They withheld all vital infor Terrible!!! Terrible!!! Terrible!!! experience. I recently purchase a car there two weeks ago. Worst experience ever. They withheld all vital information about vehicle registration and title. Next thing I received a bill from DMV without even getting the license plate that I supposed to be paying registration plus tax fee from my pocket. I started calling them to clarify things. Why should I be getting bill from DMV on a car I just punched from them without getting the license plate. The lady from there title department ware rude. unprofessional and she was saying her colleagues didn't know what they were saying. They didn't disclose all information and made you sign paper works before even getting the final numbers for the car. They told me the Sale rep gave me wrong information...imagine! More

New car purchase After several months of internet searches and many hours reading about different trims, specs, options, prices, etc., I decided on a Kia Sorento LX V After several months of internet searches and many hours reading about different trims, specs, options, prices, etc., I decided on a Kia Sorento LX V6. At Westgate KIA-Wake Forest, today, Mr.Billy Schuyler led us through the exact car purchase that I had decided on. Billy was very professional and answered every question I had. We couldn't have asked for a better car-buying experience. I am impressed with this dealership, sales rep (Billy), and everyone with whom we interacted. I am also delighted with the KIA corporation's complete backing of their vehicles. More

Having owned the Lexus brand several times before, I didn't think that this would have been any different as from the other locations. I didn't think that I would have had any problems here. Boy was I wrong. Within the first 30 days, I started having problems with it. First, it was the VSC light. It would come on a go off. When it came on the time and stayed on, I took it back to the dealership. They kept the car a few days and then they ended up taking it to Johnson Lexus because they could not read the code. Lexus, in turn, couldn't find anything wrong with it, because, by the time they got to it, of course, the light was off. Westgate told me if it comes back on to bring it back and they will fix it. Well, needless to say, this kept happening over the next several months and the light never consistently stayed on. Well by the time it really messed up, of course, the phony warranty that they sold me did not cover the exhaust system. Found out that the catalytic converters had gone out and needed to be replaced. And Westgate was going to charge me to have them replaced even though I took the car back within 30 days and I still complained about this light is on and they claimed that they couldn't fix it. Fast forwarding, that car was the WORSE car that I have owned in over 25 years. Every three to six months something was always wrong with it. After this the next thing was the hub assemblies (yes on both sides), then the starter, then the hydraulic brake pump in the rear. After $5000 later, I was over it and traded it as is. Thank God I was able to get out of it. But I promise you this I will NEVER purchase a vehicle from here ever again. And I don't recommend that you should either. More

Dangerous! No Integrity My wife and I worked with a man named Jeff. We were looking at buying a used Toyota Sienna from this dealership. With the help of his manager we were My wife and I worked with a man named Jeff. We were looking at buying a used Toyota Sienna from this dealership. With the help of his manager we were able to come to a fair price. My wife and I had only 2 stipulations. 1) that the car was cleaned and buffed. 2) That we had the car inspected form a third party. We finished the deal around 10am and he said he would have the car cleaned by 4pm. When we went back to see the car it was still filthy on the inside! I wiped my hand on the back seat and it was covered in dust and crumbs. My wife and I spent the next 20 minutes cleaning the car with Clorox wipes. By the end we had at least 10 filthy rags and it still did not look great. The worst part was Jeff watched as me and my 10 month pregnant wife wipe down the car, in 90 degree weather, without saying a word or helping. He was nice enough to bring us a bottle of water at the end. That being said, we still liked the car and had an appointment to have it looked at by a mechanic the next day. So, the next morning we took the van to Redrive out in Raleigh to have a mechanic look at the car. The report was not the worst, but it was not great. The breaks were worn, the rotors were close to going, the front CV axle was busted, and several warning codes popped up from the ECM. All of which we figured we could talk to Jeff and Brad (The manager) about helping us out with. But!!! that was not the worst part the front caliper was not connected. The Mechanic said the car was not safe to drive home and needed to be bolted down. If ignored it could lock up the front tire and cause an accident. This is the car that I drove 20 minutes up the road with my pregnant wife and 9 year old daughter!!! This is the car that if I didn't have inspected could have seriously hurt my family! It is unacceptable that KIA's mechanic missed this issue and let us drive the car. I called Jeff, got permission to allow the mechanic to fix the problem and corrected the mistake. Below are pictures of the caliper and the CV axle. We drove back to KIA and were greeted by Jeff. We asked him if we could talk to Brad. He(Brad) came out gave us a half hearted apology gave us $42 for the inspection and said if we wanted a perfect car that we needed to look at another dealership. I didn't want a perfect one! I want one that is safe to drive from my wife and 4 daughters! I came in and was 100% honest about my trade in. I told him that it has some rust under the driver side and that car max offered me $1000 for it. (He offered me $1200) I didn't try to hide it's defect and issues. I went to a dealership up in Stanford and didn't mention the rust. They offered me $2500. I turned it down, because I knew the true value and I believe in a world of integrity. I am disappointed Jeff and the management at KIA of Westgate. I will never buy from a dealer who blatantly tried to rip off my family and sell us a dangerous car. In the end I showed Brad and Jeff the list of issues. I pray that they fix the car before the next person comes in and tries to purchase it! More
