Great dealership My wife and I were looking for a used vehicle at a reasonable price for my daughter since she will be going to college later this year. We went to Wes My wife and I were looking for a used vehicle at a reasonable price for my daughter since she will be going to college later this year. We went to Westgate after our first visit to a dealer turned out to be a bait-and-switch attempt. We ended up leaving, however, after finding out the backup camera wasn’t there, which was the main reason we went to see the vehicle. We then went to 2 more dealerships, one was another bait-and-switch attempt but was worse than the first because it was over an hour away after an already busy day. The other one took a $300 deposit from us so we could be the first to test drive the vehicle. They showed off their 5 day 500 mile return and no haggle policy when we got there for our appointment 3 days later. It wasn’t until after we told them we were paying cash that things went south. They told us that another potential customer had put in a deposit before us so can select another vehicle to look at or get a refund. We opted for the refund. I kept checking back on the Westgate vehicle during the fiasco with the other 2 dealerships because my wife really liked it plus they actually showed us the vehicle and never tried to up sale us. I also noticed that they took the references to the backup camera out of the description. We contacted them asking them to lower the price since there was no backup camera and the cost of buying one and having it installed came to $260. Valeriya from the Internet Sales team replied that they would take off $300 for the missing camera. I then asked what the total price including all fees was. I figured they would realize we were paying cash and they would just ignore us. She came back with a price, then Charlie called to work out a better price that was more in line with my budget. Our second visit to the dealership was very pleasant. Wesley was very helpful and considerate throughout the whole process. He called me to get some information in advance to help smooth out the process. Everything went as well or better than expected. A journey that started off super frustrating and hectic ended pleasantly thanks to the Westgate team. Overall, I like Westgate because they are honest, fix their mistakes, work with their customers, don’t use bait-and-switch tactics, and were 1 of 4 dealerships that actually showed me the vehicle they advertised. I can’t think of a single reason not to go to them first when I’m ready for another vehicle. More
