Thus most recent visit was a waste of time. January, 2023, we had texted with the internet sales manager for a couple days and had things set to go drive and likely buy a specific car - checked stock number and everything. When we got there the sales person could not find the car. We pressed the sales person and find out it had not even there for almost 2 weeks. They lied, wasted my time and then tried to get us to look at cars way more expensive. We let them know our issue with the situation. I texted about a different car later and when the sales person said they wanted me to come in, I texted that I wanted verification THAT specific car was on the lot as I w as not interested in other vehicles. Now crickets! DO NOT ENCOURAGE THESE TACTICS, GO ELSEWHERE! More
There were several mistakes made. First we were told by, Paul, our salesman that we would need to pay additional $ more than the price advertised because the car had a lowjack install First we were told by, Paul, our salesman that we would need to pay additional $ more than the price advertised because the car had a lowjack installed. So using that “new” price, a negotiation was made. Guess what?! No low Jack. When asked about low Jack we were told it was never installed, but we should be happy because we “never paid for it.” No, we negotiated a price based off one already having been installed so we paid for it… Right? Bc our offer factored in said low Jack that was installed and the price brought to us of car with low Jack installed. Moving on. Got to finance and we purchased an extended warranty. We were TOLD 100,000 miles in addition to current mileage. Based on that, we bought. Come to find out it’s 100,000 total. Finance said, “ooops but it is still a great deal, you got it at cost.” Again, it’s not a DEAL if you don’t get what you thought you paid for. To make it “right” We were offered most the mileage (not 100k but 75k) but instead of 7 years we had on the original contract it now would only be four years. What?! So we get more miles but less time to do it in, that’s the best that could be done to “fix” it. We passed on this offer. Lastly, we had the car for 2 weeks (30,000 dollar car, Mind you, less than 60k miles) and the entire air compressor goes out. Now the car has been in the shop over a week for an entire air conditioner over haul. (Luckily we had the extended warranty). You can’t tell me they didn’t know or at the least They didn’t want to know. My recommendation is don’t trust anyone at their word at this dealership “we’re human and make mistakes” Is their SLOGAN! If it’s not written down, assume you aren’t getting it no matter what is said. Read EVERYTHING, again don’t trust the words stated, slow the process (that’s just what you’ll have to do to avoid bait and switch). Also, have your car looked at by a third party mechanic no matter what! You’d think a dealer of this magnitude would be selling better vehicles than the buy-here/pay-here but they aren’t. More

My wife and I purchased a Wagoneer from here. We got a great deal on our trade and it was a great experience overall. I was surprised how quickly I was in and out. We got a great deal on our trade and it was a great experience overall. I was surprised how quickly I was in and out. More
After telling me they had the vehicle I wanted to look at waiting up front for me to test drive. I get over there and was told it wasn't available. Worst experience ever! Ernest Greene was arrogant...walking around like he had all the time in the world. What we were asking to see they had my daughter sit there waiting Ernest Greene was arrogant...walking around like he had all the time in the world. What we were asking to see they had my daughter sit there waiting for almost an hour and still never found it. My daughter called me and I took the keys and we went and found the Jeep. Then when we found out that there was a key missing for the sunroof he made us feel like we were going to have to buy one to get it to open. Also, when she asked for the amount for her car he acted like $400 was outrageous. But then he made us feel like he was doing us a favor when he got the deal we asked for. Then we found out the seal was broken and then he told us the sunroof was broken. She left. I called the next day and spoke to Ms. Laura and she made sure that we would get better service on Saturday....well not!! The lady that went with us that day was not any help at all. She knew nothing about Jeeps. Found out through Carfax that this car was from New York and it had many problems. So of course we went to another dealership in Cary. We got the best service ever. This was her first big girl purchase and they were PHENOMENAL!! Got more for her car and they treated us like we were the most important person there. Never go to WESTGATE!! More
We were recently shopping for a preowned vehicle and drove an hour to Raleigh to look at 2 we saw on the Westgate website. A nice young man walking across the lot asked if he could help us and we told h drove an hour to Raleigh to look at 2 we saw on the Westgate website. A nice young man walking across the lot asked if he could help us and we told him what we were looking for. He was not a salesman but called one to come meet us. We continued looking through the vehicles that were parked so close together you couldn't really see the sides and the new and used were mixed together. Another customer mentioned the same thing as we looked. When the salesman finally walked up, his arms were crossed and the first thing he asked was "what are you looking for"?. No greeting, no name offered. We kind of felt at that point he didn't want to be waiting on the "old folks". We told him what we wanted to see but he said we needed to come inside to discuss finance and get a "better picture" of what we want. We went inside with him and he asked for my husband's driver's license. While he was getting it out the salesman took a call on his cell and told the person he would be right there. He began asking questions about our finances but we still had not seen a vehicle. Our answers were apparently not what he wanted to hear and he began shaking his head as if he was upset. Some of his questions were not pertinent to where we were in searching for a preowned vehicle. I became uncomfortable with his questions and the way he was acting so at that point I reached across to get the drivers license and before my husband could get it in his wallet the salesman walked out and never said another word. Never offered a card or his name. I had to read other reviews to find his picture and name. We left immediately after he walked out and he was already standing at the back of a car with another man looking at boxes in the trunk of a car. Guess that trunk was more important to FAROOQ than selling a car. Never will we shop at Westgate again and have already referred 2 others elsewhere. More
PHENOMENAL EXPERIENCE! ! As a “first time” purchaser, I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of this experience. I never felt pressured or taken advantage of - in fact, I ! As a “first time” purchaser, I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of this experience. I never felt pressured or taken advantage of - in fact, I was welcomed to take my time and make sure the decision was mine!! Mark was the sales rep who assisted me and his east-going, honest approach quelled what anxiety I felt entering the establishment. Even though I did my research beforehand and came in to test drive the vehicle that is now mine, his time and attention were such a relief!! This experience made me rethink my prior thoughts and reservations regarding going to a dealership - I will certainly be returning here when I decide to purchase another vehicle in the future!! More
Not sure if it’s normal sales tactics or just lying to get you in the door, but we were promised to drive away with car if we came. Arrived to a smashed windshield, bald tires and dirty car.
