Beware and don’t make the same mistake I did More
Really disappointed with my experience at Westgate Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram-Raleigh NC location. I had a scheduled appointment today at 12 noon to take a look at a used 2021 Jeep Compass. When me and m Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram-Raleigh NC location. I had a scheduled appointment today at 12 noon to take a look at a used 2021 Jeep Compass. When me and my pregnant wife arrive we see they had pulled the vehicle up to the front of Jeep store. The sales rep Faraq greeted me and my wife letting us know the SUV we were interested in was this one at the front of the store. Me and my wife inspect the Jeep Compass finding it was not quite as advertised online. The vehicle had many scratches on almost every body panel and the vehicle clearly had not been detailed either as they’re were fresh stains on the back seat. I discuss the issues with the vehicle with Faraq who assures me most of the issues can be resolved by their detailing team. I tell Faraq we’re interested in test driving the vehicle but would like to discuss vehicle pricing since it’s not as advertised online. Faraq tells me he will bring my concerns to the sales manager Matt and grab the keys to the vehicle so we can test drive it. A few minutes later and the sales manager Matt comes out of the office to meet me. The sales manager Matt addresses the vehicle concerns I have and let’s me know he will see what he can do on pricing. He also ask if I was doing a trade in. I informed I was doing a trade in and I showed him two trade offers I had on the vehicle. On Westgates website it says they will beat the trade offer you have by $500. I bring this up to Matt and he try’s to say that all depends on your vehicle condition. I advised him that is not what is advertised on their website and show him the website fine print. Matt just nods his head and tells me our sales rep would be right out with the keys so we could test drive the Jeep Compass. About 20-25 min go by and we’re still waiting for our sales rep to come out. Finally Faraq comes out to let us know they just sold the vehicle we were about to test drive. I confront Faraq about the situation and request to speak with the manager. Faraq goes to notify the manager that I want to speak with him. Another 20 min go by. At this point I have to request again to speak with the manager. 10 min go by and finally the sales manager Matt comes out. Matt informs me that they sold the vehicle we we’re just going to test drive. I let Matt know that it was bad business and unethical for them to have us drive 30 minutes to their dealership for a scheduled appointment to see this vehicle and right when we’re about to test drive it they sell it to another person who didn’t even have an appointment to see it. I also told him that it was interesting that they quickly sold the vehicle right after I discussed the trade value of my car with him and the deal on their website about beating a trade offer by $500. It was clear they didn’t want to honor the website agreement. Matt handed me back the key to my vehicle and showed me the exit door. He would not acknowledge any issues I brought up or confronted him about. I am very disappointed in the shady and unethical business dealings at the Westgate Raleigh location. If you question them on pricing or try to get them to honor the trade agreement they advertise online they will show you the door letting you know they can’t do business with you. I hope no one else has to go through this experience. Avoid making the mistake of trying to buy a car here! More
Scammers! Hid information on purpose to make money! Had to replace a transmission for 7k 3 weeks after we bought the car!!! Take your business elsewhere! They Hid information on purpose to make money! Had to replace a transmission for 7k 3 weeks after we bought the car!!! Take your business elsewhere! They hang up whenever a past customer calls. They are super pushy to get the deal done knowing they are selling you a car with a lot of problems :( please everyone stay away. The Ford dealership we took the car we bought to said this is not the first time they have seen this from Westgate. They have a horrible reputation in the area for doing this to many people. More

Hazem and Kevin are liars and cannot be trusted. Promises mean nothing to these two. Late last year they announced in order to continue getting Westgate for Life benefits that were promised during purchase we had to get “dealer recommended services” completed at the dealer’s servicing shop. They give you a list of things to complete with a PRICE NEXT TO EACH ITEM. This part is important. They provide the exact price to you. When you get the service done the price they charge you is completely different from the list they give you with prices! I’ve reached out to them repeatedly and the service advisor refuses to pick up the phone or give callbacks. I call the service desk and they claim a manager will reach out. No outreach. I ask online for a callback set up and no call is provided. They are overcharging despite giving out a list with prices and refuse to own up to it. If this were truly an innocent mistake they would have made an effort to explain themselves. Take their silence as a warning. More

I spoke to Alan Murphy about a Dodge Durango I was interested in. I informed him I was taking off work and driving over two hours away to buy it. He then told me that he verified it was on the lot and interested in. I informed him I was taking off work and driving over two hours away to buy it. He then told me that he verified it was on the lot and he put a travel hold on it so noone else could touch it. Set a 12:00 appointment for me and I was there at 11:45. He instead sent Tyler to inform me that the vehicle was no longer available. Tyler was a great guy but I refuse to do business with a company that allows bad business practices. More
The customer service here, specifically in the service department has been terrible. Numerous times I have called to make an appointment and I am left on hold for several minutes; two occasions I waited f department has been terrible. Numerous times I have called to make an appointment and I am left on hold for several minutes; two occasions I waited for over 10 minutes until anyone even answered the phone. Last week on 4/18 I had an appointment for a tire rotation and oil change. I dropped my car at 9am, I also noted that I had been hearing some squeaking on bumps. At then end of 4/18, I still had not heard if my service had been completed. I called numerous times — no one would answer. Finally, I got someone on the phone who said my service advisor was away from the desk and that they were the only person who can give me an update. That was incredibly frustrating. They would not give any update whatsoever. On day two, I still hadn't heard anything. I was very upset by this point because I had a death in the family and needed to drive out of state to Pennsylvania. I called several times. I sat on hold for so long at one point the call disconnected. I called again and again and never got an update. By the end of the second day I received a call from a service advisor who was not the one assigned. She updated me that my car's oil change and tire rotation was completed but that I needed new front struts and that it would cost $1,300. I was shocked because my Grand Cherokee has only 23,000 miles on it, primarily highway. I asked why it would need this, and I was again not given an answer. Of note, I also have a Certified Pre-Owned warranty that would cover this expense. The service advisor said she didn't know but that by the time I came to get my car they could tell me everything. When I arrived, she shared that the they still did not have an answer — zero reasoning — as to why I would need brand new struts. I was exhausted by this point so I was ready to just leave the dealership. Then the service advisor asks where I purchased my car, which was Virginia. She then verbatim said, "oh! That's probably why. Sometimes when you buy a car in the north and bring it down south, that can make the metal kind of bad." What an absolutely uneducated and absurd statement. These are the service experts??? It's now a week later and I still don't have any answers. All I know is that my new, warranty-covered suspension allegedly arrives on 5/23. I have tried to call both the general manager and service manager and gotten nowhere but voicemails without any name on them. Can't find an email address either. More
Checked the availability of a Jeep and was told it was available. Made an appointment and was there early. I took off work and drove an hour to get to the dealership. Waited for 30 minutes just to find ou available. Made an appointment and was there early. I took off work and drove an hour to get to the dealership. Waited for 30 minutes just to find out that the vehicle was in Wilmington and had been sold. The salesman was very nice but none of the management did anything to make the situation right. More
