Westdale Used Car Super Store responded

The Westdale Used Car Superstore specializes in vehicles that are a little lower in cost and also handle loans for consumers with all types of credit history. In some circumstances there can be hurdles with both of these and a Sport Utility Vehicle with 180,000 - 190,000 miles is going to have a few items that are not in proper working condition. All of the vehicles do go through an inspection that will focus on safety and major mechanical concerns. Every item cannot be fixed of course. Unfortunately there are times that that a consumer will have a different opinion of what should and should not be covered or repaired. That is especially the case in a vehicle that is 11 years old with 180,000 to 190,000 miles. Each scenario is different on what is and is not repaired and not everything can be fixed on all vehicles. In this scenario the dealership did give the customer $400 after everything was completed which was not required or owed. There are many dealerships that would have not have done anything since it was sold 100% As-Is and had almost 200,000 miles. As far as the financing, it is extremely common to contact multiple financial institutions in order to find the right program and in some cases to even find a bank that will offer a loan to certain customers. Contacting a handful of banks did not drive this consumers credit "in to the ground" in any way. It is very common in today's financing to check with multiple lenders on the purchase of any major purchase, auto, home, etc. And it will not make a serious impact on your credit history if a handful of banks are contacted. Regardless we do understand that credit history is a major concern for consumers especially if there have been a few bumps in the road with payment or credit history. We abide by all laws and regulations to ensure that this is handled in a professional manner. It is not a requirement to finance through any dealership on any purchase. All of our dealerships will accept cash payment on any vehicle in stock. Or financing can be secured by the consumer with their lending institution of choice prior to visiting a dealership. Communication could have been the cause of the concerns for this consumer and making sure that everything was discussed in more detail could have changed the outcome. We take these concerns seriously and have communicated openly with this consumer to try to resolve the items mentioned. On top of that we also gave the customer $400 for their A/C concerns as mentioned earlier and actively try to help all customers with concerns. Our goal is to have you come back to see us for all of your vehicle purchases because we know that is what has kept us in business for almost 60 years and will continue to do so for many years to come. In many cases having vehicles with higher miles can cause more issues and offering loans to all consumers can cause unwanted scenarios for the consumer and dealership since it can be a stressful process trying to secure a loan and getting the final approval. But we have many happy and satisfied customers that come back to see us for all of their automotive needs and that is what has made us one of the largest volume dealer groups in Eastern Iowa.

Typical shady tactics used with them to sell the car. Pushy sales, won't let you leave. We actually ended up buying the car, but since we mistakenly didn't read every last little bit of fine print, th More
