This car-buying experience far exceeded my expectations. I've always been extremely wary of dealerships, especially so as I was compelled to buy a new car after mine got totaled in an accident two weeks ago I've always been extremely wary of dealerships, especially so as I was compelled to buy a new car after mine got totaled in an accident two weeks ago. Consumer Reports pointed to the Toyota Corolla as the best in its class, so I stopped off from work on my way home last Friday. The moment I walked in the door an earnest young man (Domingo) helpfully explained all the features of the Corolla. I grilled him somewhat thoroughly, and he arranged a road test for me. (The car was impressive.) On leaving I told him I would likely not make a decision for a couple weeks, as I was waiting on insurance equity money. Domingo was joined by another senior salesperson, John Pena who was extremely knowledgeable, well-spoken and persistent. That weekend I checked out the comparable cars from Consumer Reports. The Honda Civic was okay, but it was their salesperson who struck me as offputting and disinterested. I never got to see the Subaru Impreza because the dealer was extremely low on inventory and didn't have it in stock. On Monday, I stopped back to discuss price and availability at Westchester Toyota. The moment I walked in the door, the sales manager, John Madera, recognized me and knew my situation. He assigned John Spano to answer my questions. John Pena soon thereafter joined him in clarifying several points. I explained that I wouldn't buy until I had lined up the best financing on my terms. John Pena confidently assured me that Toyota would present the best package. Having spent all day Tuesday procuring what I considered the best interest rate, I went in today (Wednesday) to buy the car. I presented my confirmed offer to John Pena and my down payment. John was a real pro. He walked me through all the paperwork with no annoying upselling and brought my financing confirmation to his colleague at Toyota Financing. They did in fact beat the competition finance rate, expertly facilitated by David Grin. The only downside to the experience was that it took nearly 5 1/2 hours from the time I walked in the door. (Most of that was the result of having to retrieve the car from "prep" offsite.) But the professionalism, friendliness, and honest bargaining of the staff more than ameliorated the annoying wait time. The upshot: I got the car that I wanted, at the price I wanted, with a finance package better than I expected. I highly recommend Westchester Toyota, and suggest you ask for John Pena. He was awesome. More

A plug in was not even in our radar, but after having had the car for over a month I can't think of a better option. The entire staff was very helpful through the process from the appraisal of our trade to the great finance available in the car. I will keep recommending pedro and westchester toyota to my friends and family. More

In particular, John guided us with enthusiasm and humor from the moment Sean introduced us to the moment the keys to the Camry were handed to us. During the process, Sean never hesitated to check up on our progress and offer his assistance. In addiotion to John, I was particularly impressed by Sean remembering our names even though the office was extremely busy with a contant flow of clients. David Grin (business manager) essentially closed the deal for us. When we encountered a potential roadblock to financing the purchase, David came up with a viable alternative which kept the entire deal within our budget. We are grateful for the interest shown by the entire team and for allowing us to continue our 30-year experience as loyal Toyota customers. More
