Beware of Service Department Usually I bring the vehicle to Westbury Toyota myself as over the years there has been many issues with their service department looking to take adva Usually I bring the vehicle to Westbury Toyota myself as over the years there has been many issues with their service department looking to take advantage of customers who don't know better. My wife brought the vehicle to Westbury Toyota Service Department 2/13/18 for a oil change. Her service advisor was Whitney Mangano .She left with an $800 bill. They sold her two tires which may have been needed however I'm not sure since I did not see the tires. The tires were $212 per tire which I'm ok with. They then charged her $60 for balancing, $99.95 for a wheel alignment which they try to sell to everyone , $50 for a Cabin Filter and $50 for an air filter. Also had the gall to charge $34.95 for a tire rotation after purchasing two tires. Unfortunately they took advantage of a woman bringing a vehicle to a dealer who didnt have knowledge of the repairs needed. I spoke with Rich in service and he only agreed the $34.95 was excessive and can credit it if I want. If I want? Why was it charged in the first place? The service person I spoke with the day before agreed the $60 installation and balancing was also excessive and should not have been charged at $212 per tire . We are also loyal customers. I asked for $194.95 credit for the unnecessary wheel alignment, tire rotation and balancing which is excessive and he refused. This is about the third time I've had issues with this dealership both in service and salesfloor. When vehicle was purchased in 2015 the salesman installed a roof rack on the van without our permission and then extorted us out of $100 cash which insisted we had to take him the the bank across the street to get him the cash. He was later fired when the general manager Mark F heard of it from us and reviewed the cameras at the site. Once before on our older vehicle I also had an issue with Westbury Toyota installing new tires and breaking the sensor in the valve and tried to charge me $325 for a new one.See review dated 3/5/12. Amanda Dilauro - excellent service provider Amanda Dilauro was the service provider for my last few visits to Toyota Service. She is thorough and responds promptly. Recently I had trouble with my Sienna minivan and brought it in to check. They found that squirrels had built a nest in my engine and had eaten away some of the wires, the intake hose and the engine insulation layer. I couldn’t believe it! And she took pictures to show me. The techinicians repaired it and I brought the car home. The next day the same warning lights appears on the dashboard. I spoke with Amanda and she said it would be unsafe for me to drive the car with the engine check light on and told me to bring the car in as soon as possible. She even provided a rental car for me. the technicians found the same problem! She went above and beyond and sent me pictures and a video clipping of the new damage. She provided a reasonable repair quote and estimate of when the work would be completed. Amanda Dilauro provided excellent service. She was responsive, took care of my concern and provided valuable information. More importantly she showed concern for her client. More
