WARNING: Avoid Westbury Toyota, especially: Sammy (Salesperson), Miguel Marroquin (Finance Manager), Mike Baptiste (Miguel's Manager) If you are using Westbury Toyota, expect a speedy transaction (Salesperson), Miguel Marroquin (Finance Manager), Mike Baptiste (Miguel's Manager) If you are using Westbury Toyota, expect a speedy transaction with unprofessional, lying staff and dishonest paperwork. Double check all documentation for discrepancy relating to finance before signing and driving away. If there is any discrepancy in pricing (chances are there will), opt to redo the paperwork instead of having refund checks sent. There will be significant delay in getting your money back, and chances are you'll never get it back without constantly calling them (I still havent received my 2 refund checks). When calling them, you can expect dropped calls, no return calls, or again overall unprofessionalism. Main people to watch out: Sammy (Salesperson), Miguel Marroquin (Finance Manager), Mike Baptiste (Miguel's Manager) Sales: My experience started off rough, in terms of communication. The salesperson Sammy wouldn't disclose the vehicle selling price without me sitting with finance. They used high pressure sales tactics to get me in the office to make me pay markup for the vehicle. Calls with Sammy were also unprofessional. When you are discussing something important over the phone, she randomly begins talking to the person next to her, completely ignoring her first priority: you, the customer. This also causes significant confusion in communication. She is disrespectful and unprofessional and I would completely avoid her. She's one of many factors from this dealership that take away the joy of purchasing a new vehicle. Finance: The agreed price was not reflected on the lease document, something the dealership assumed I wouldn't read through. Speaking with Miguel Marroquin (finance manager), he agreed to misrepresentation in price (after some back and forth) and opted to refund the difference as a check on the day we signed the paperwork for the sale. It was the fastest transaction yet, with paperwork being completed on the same day. I was even allowed to sign contracts and government documents on behalf of someone else (something the salesperson Sammy said was illegal). Communication with Miguel after that day has been disappointing. Calls not being returned, texts not being answered and we felt the overall lack of empathy for the promise he made on that day. He has not delivered on this promise and keeps mentioning his manager, who still has not called me to this day. This occurred in April, and it's now May. It has been many weeks since they were caught manipulating the paperwork and promising a refund, but I still haven't received my money back. There were many lies in the communication. After many calls, I was given another promise that my 2 checks will be overnighted to the dealership on a Friday. That Friday was 2 weeks ago. Calls are not returned, and overall communication after the sale has been extremely disappointing. Scheduled calls with Miguel's manager, Mike Baptiste were also not returned. Once a deal is signed at Westbury Toyota, you are no longer a customer. You are a mere annoyance to the sales and finance staff. Do yourself a favor, and avoid the headache and frustration. I really appreciated his attentiveness, patience and hard work to complete the sale with consideration to what I wanted. I’ve bought many cars over the years and he is possibly the best cars salesperson I’ve ever had the pleasure of doing business with and I would recommend him to anyone else considering purchasing a car. I came to Westbury Toyota to buy a very specific vehicle and wanted to apply the new PHEV federal tax credit to it. I’m supposedly the first person to have the federal tax credit applied to my vehicle purchase upfront at this dealership and it took nearly 5 hours to complete the paperwork, processing and sale. Caleb was helpful, patient and dedicated to pushing the sale through with the federal tax credit applied, answering all my questions and addressing all my concerns with great detail and good humor. Even after the sale, he has been very communicative and gone above and beyond for me in terms of other smaller, extraneous details regarding my new car. Thank you for everything, Caleb! 10/10 Glowing review for Caleb aside, the finance manager I worked with was in no way exceptional. Did not introduce himself so I don’t remember a name but he is bald and working on Saturday, 5/11/2024. He was unfriendly, cold and disrespectful. I paid for the car in full, in cash and his attitude was poor and bothered. He answered my questions and concerns with sighs and minimal effort, I had to ask him multiple times for confirmations of the services and warranties that came with my car, he would sigh and give me so little information that I would need to ask him the same questions repeatedly to gain all the information I needed. He acted as though I was bothering and annoying him and was not knowledgeable about used car warranties and services. I dealt with him right before I drove away with my new car. What a shameful way to end an otherwise wonderful and pleasant experience at Westbury Toyota. 1/10 More
