I bought a 2010 Camry from Jorge (George) Ortiz in Oct. of this year. I went back to Westbury Toyota since I liked the treatment George gave me when I purchased a 2005 Camry from him in 2004. Overall, I am of this year. I went back to Westbury Toyota since I liked the treatment George gave me when I purchased a 2005 Camry from him in 2004. Overall, I am very satisfied with the service he gave me, however, this was after I actually walked out of the showroom the first time because of the insulting manner of one of his managers who questioned my knowledge of the prices of the vehicle. It was only the personality of George who brought me back to discuss the situation and come to an amicable agreement. One thing that upset me however, was the price of installation of mudflaps and body side molding which I wanted to have done before picking up the car. The price quoted for these two items to be installed by their service department was completely out of normal range.I ended up making the purchase of these two items online and having them installed by my own mechanic at about 1/3 the price your service deparment wanted. George has always followed up with me to make sure that I am satisifed with the purchase and I appreciate his genuine interest in my feelings. More
twice now have gone into service dept without an appointment and they still gave me the fastest service and are quite courtsous serviceing the car. They do not try and sell a service not needed, the appointment and they still gave me the fastest service and are quite courtsous serviceing the car. They do not try and sell a service not needed, they just remind you that the service within the noted milage is available. I am handicapped and each time i leave the service area, all employees make the car available to me and offer to install my left foot gas pedal. although i had not origanally purchased my car at this dealership, i will not hestistte in buying or leasing my next car here. If the sales department is anything like the service department, mark my next car sold or leased., More
Dealt with this dealer on trying to get a good price and no luck. The MSRP it is what it is. The manager Paul is nice but the sale people are hungry for a deal and extremely pushy. They make you feel no luck. The MSRP it is what it is. The manager Paul is nice but the sale people are hungry for a deal and extremely pushy. They make you feel like they are doing you a favor for even talking to you; and when they do, they tell you what you need not what you want… Don’t go here.. Go to Star Toyota, go to Toyota on Manhattan, Penn Toyota or even Advantage, other places… but don’t waste your time in this place where MSRP is golden and they won’t budge on price. Make sure you pay invoice or most 500 over… but not more… There are deals out there my friends... But this place ain’t one of them… I bought my car from another dealer that has a sense of what a customer is and how to treat her. More
Buyer beware. This place will try to maximize profits made off you in every way possible. From jacked up loan rates that are two and half per cent above average, even for peple with exemplary credit, to made off you in every way possible. From jacked up loan rates that are two and half per cent above average, even for peple with exemplary credit, to extra large down payments on your credit card ($2000!) to dissuade you from backing out of a deal, to forcing delivery within 48 hrs., or even immediate delivery, everything is geared towards making as much profit off you as soon as possible. Nothing is set up towards having a satisifed customer that brings in more clients through word of mouth referrals and then returns to buy cars from the dealership again and again. If you go to shop here, you had better be prepared as far as knowing what type of loan rates you can get on your own, how much the vehicle should costs, and being sure that you know what you want. The worst experience was at Westbury Toyota. Wally the manager was incredibly rude and disrespectful. The finance person was also rude as well as one of the salesman who wasn't even the person who sold m manager was incredibly rude and disrespectful. The finance person was also rude as well as one of the salesman who wasn't even the person who sold me the car. One would think in this economic climate they would pay attention to their customer. Do not go to this dealership. Very unclassy bunch. Although, I did buy the car at this dealership, the experience has left a bad taste. I bought the car after already going to two other dealerships and I did not want to have to go through the hassle of starting over. In the end they gave me this cheap navigation system for my troubles. I have thrown it out because it’s a piece of junk. Based on other reviews on this site i can say I shouldn't be surprised. More
I had to deal with the financial manager. It was a nightmare working with this man, Cliffe Small. My family and I were treated the worst possible way you can imagine. Told us to step out of his of nightmare working with this man, Cliffe Small. My family and I were treated the worst possible way you can imagine. Told us to step out of his office just because we asked him to show us the file of our new car which we bought from this dealer. We are the customers, we must be treated nicely. It is a shame that this dealer has this kind of manager. More
Stay away from this dealership. They tried to raise my lease payments by $60 per month and requested my father to cosign. They told my father (who bought three (3) Toyota's from this dealership) he had ba lease payments by $60 per month and requested my father to cosign. They told my father (who bought three (3) Toyota's from this dealership) he had bad credit which was not true. He went to Hyundai and purchased a vehicle two weeks later and the Hyundai dealership said his credit was outstanding. The finance person told me I owed another $360 to close the deal or the money would be taken from the saleswoman. Buyer be ware........... More
Worst experience ever. Complete rip-off! Gave me lease financing for a manual 2009 Camry CE based on $28,000 when the car was msrp $20,400. The most basic car ever. Totally took advantage of me being new financing for a manual 2009 Camry CE based on $28,000 when the car was msrp $20,400. The most basic car ever. Totally took advantage of me being new to the process and didn't go over figures...just went straight to monthly payments. Made me pay for pre-paid maintenance without my knowledge. Also found out via service department print-out that the car had a little more mileage on it than was indicated on the odometer and contract. I realized afterwards that I was overpaying for the car by between $125-$175 per month. Most dealers overcharge and try to deceive their customers but this one has no regard for human life in these rough financial times. Avoid Michael David and this dealership at all costs! More
Brought my parents car in for service. 2007 camry with 14K miles. Battery kept dying out. The car was two months out of warranty so I had to pay 150 for a new battery. Also did a transmition drain and 14K miles. Battery kept dying out. The car was two months out of warranty so I had to pay 150 for a new battery. Also did a transmition drain and fill, oil change and a coolant change. I was told the price for the transmition drain and fill was $80, Coolant was $60 and had a coupon for a free oil change. I expected the total amount to be 290 plus tax. Prior to leaving he printed out an estiimate stating $300? I asked him why, it should be 290 plus tax? He proceeded to check his calculator and told me yes about 300 and I asked him again...but it is 290 plus tax, right? He said ya, about 300. So I signed and left....BIG MISTAKE. Came back at the end of the day. My bill was $20 higher than it should of been. Noticed that I was charged $80 for the coolant change. After a 30 minute wait the 'customer relations manager' and myself are infront of Mr. Salas. Who then procedes to tell me that he told me the price was $70 and that I had signed off on a subtotal that stated $300 so he was only going to decrease the amount by $10. I proceeded to tell him that he told me $60, and then this arogant guy tells me he knows what he said...right??? thats why he charged me $80. Then I bring to both of their attention that they are running an advertised special on a billboard hanging in their waiting room for a spring special $59.99 for coolant and oil change, a top of all fluids, all hoses, tires and brake check, a fraction of the services I received. Then I told the both of them to put me under that promotion. Both of them said I was not eligible because I used a free coupon for the oil change. So I proceeded to tell them, ok....charge me for the oil change and put me under the promotion, because it will still come out cheaper....tell me why the 'customer relations manager' had nothing to say, and Mr. Salas, very arogantly states....well he signed for $300 so that is what he is being charged. Are you kidding me???? These people must be crazy???? I took the bill and paid and left after waisting and hour and fifteen minutes to pick up my parents car. Ridiculous......NEVER EVER will this car go there again, or will this place be recomended....this guy was one of the most arogant people I have met. Let them keep the $10 they over charge and under serviced me for. Let see how much longer he will have his way at that job, once I get finished letting enought people know about what happened. More
I stopped in to check out the cars and deals which be offered during this economically troubled time figuring it might be a good time toreplace my aging Avaon. After spending 15 or so minutes in any empt offered during this economically troubled time figuring it might be a good time toreplace my aging Avaon. After spending 15 or so minutes in any empty showroom with only employees I left feeling like the invisible man. No one looked at me, offered help of any type or otherwise acknowledged my presence. I will try to find a dealer who is interested in my business and who might be interesd in selling a car. More
