I have to say Julio Escobar is the best sales person ever! He knew the car that I was buying inside and out! I fell in love with my 2012 Toyota Camry and that was over fourmonths ago still in love with ever! He knew the car that I was buying inside and out! Service Dept Horrible. Have been going to this dealership for 5 years. Used to love the experience. As of the past year the service has gone downhill significantly. Over the summer we had a NYS inspection. T for 5 years. Used to love the experience. As of the past year the service has gone downhill significantly. Over the summer we had a NYS inspection. They called us back and recommended over $800 of unneeded repairs and advised our AC hose was clogged. I asked why they were even touching the AC hose and they said they check everything. We declined the AC repair because there was nothing wrong with the hose. A week later our carpet was drenched and had to go back to Toyota to repair. They charged us $140 to fix it. Awful coincidence it never had a problem until they messed with it. This past month we brought our van for an oil change. They recommended we replace all 4 tires. 2 of them were ok so we replaced the two front. Shortly after leaving the service dept our tire inflation warning light came on. Brought the van back a week later and Westbury Toyota made us wait 2 hours to tell us our sensor was now bad and $350 to repair. I asked them if it was in the two front tires they just replaced and their service manager Doreen told us she did not know. I explained that if it was in the 2 new tires, they should take responsibility and repair it. She refused to check the two front tires and let us leave with a piece of paper stating "Customer declined Repair" I reported this to Toyota corporate and they opened a case for me. No one from Westbury Toyota responded. I called Toyota headquarters again and they gave me 2 contacts of customer service reps to speak with at Westbury. I called Westbury Toyota and asked for the two contacts and was advised 1 was no longer there and the other moved to accounting. Finally after about 6 phone calls found someone to assist (Dana) and I'm bringing my vehicle there today to hopefully resolve the tire issue. In any event, my opinion is the serrvice dept has gone way downhill over the past year. You can't even find their General Manager Mark F. He does not answer e-mails and no one seems to know where he is. When I wait in the waiting room I always hear the service managers recommending many repairs that probably are unnecessary. I'm lucky to have some knowledge of auto repairs otherwise I'd be taken advantage of. Beware of things that break shortly afterwards when having your vehicle serviced at Westbury Toyota. I have lost my trust on their service dept. They need new management as the current service managers do not know how to deal with customer complaints. UPDATE: They corrected the problem within 15 minutes of bringing the vehocle back after complaining. Shows you I would have shelled out $350 had I not complained to fix something they were resp for. i would not recommend this dealership to anyone. in fact a family member bought a new truck from here several years ago before it was bought out and had a pleasurable experience. it was the complete opposit a family member bought a new truck from here several years ago before it was bought out and had a pleasurable experience. it was the complete opposite for me. i had no problem with my salesman but when paul walked into "negotiate the deal" the price only went up and i was lied to several times. then paul asked for arty to enter the room and he was no more honest. it felt as if it was me in a wrestling match against four people. their negotiations and "hidden fees" were so shady i was completely turned off. their unwillingness to accept that i caught them in a lie about the price only seemed to escalate the would be deal. i left there so annyoed and bothered. they did not even wish to add the coupon for $250.00 off a car that pops up on their own website. a very bad bunch of salesman and a total lack of professionalism. if you wish to purchase a car its worth the drive to go somewhere else. Buying car from Westbury Toyota was a great experience for us. We all had wonderful time throughout the process, particularly due to their patience and amiable behavior. We believe, we had a great deal, b for us. We all had wonderful time throughout the process, particularly due to their patience and amiable behavior. We believe, we had a great deal, based on the data collected and research performed. On both the days, Mark (the sales representative) helped us in understanding the minutiae of the vehicle as well as the sales-process. We would say, Mark is a very knowledgeable person (in sales and car) with the patience of a saint. On the closing day, although we went late to close the deal, Mark and Luis (from finance) stayed and worked with us with utmost patience till the end of the process (instead of deferring it to the next day). Again, I would definitely recommend Westbury Toyota for their knowledge, experience and customer-service. More
I brought my can in for brakes, oil change, and a water leak into the car. They did the brakes and oil change and said a drain was clogged. The cost to clean the drain was for labor only and would be $499. leak into the car. They did the brakes and oil change and said a drain was clogged. The cost to clean the drain was for labor only and would be $499. The back floor behind the front passenger seat was getting wet. I agreed to fixing this. After lengthy discussion, they agreed to keep the car overnight so the carpet would have a chance to dry. Believing the problem was taken care of, I took the car home the next day. My mistake was believing all was well. A week later it rained. A day or two later, the car began to have a mildew odor. I picked up the floor mats. Now both sides of the carpet in the back seat were wet and mildew was growing. I brought the car back. While Liz, the customer service person, was agreeable, she was not there the day the car went in. I had to deal with Roberto, the service manager, who is rude and unresponsive. While I pointed out that the sun roof was not sitting flush on the car and seemed to be dropped below where it should be, the service advisor Andrew, said he was not sure if it should be that way but would be checked. They told me that this leak was a completely different problem. That "debris' was in the roof channel and caused it to leak. Isn't it a coincidence that the sunroof was not set in the roof the correct way and loh and behold, when I got the car back it had been "readjusted". I was told when the car was first brought in, the service person NEVER opened the sun roof and that all work was done from inside. If this is the case, there is something very wrong with the construction of this car that the roof would just drop . I have NEVER opened the roof. Andrew told me that I could take the car home, although still wet and moldy. After numerous calls, Roberto finally came to the phone and said the carpet would be cleaned and I could pick up the car the next day. I spoke to Liz the next day. She was once again pleasant. She said to keep the car there all day so the carpet would be dry when I took it home. Needless to say, took the car home. Looked inside. Seemed all right. Mats were on the carpet with the Penske paper mats on top. The next night it rained. Checked the carpet. Carpet was wet. Not from the rain but because they had put the rubber backed mats on a damp carpet. Carpet smells. Have contacted corporate customer service. Have contacted Westbury and still waiting for a response.
