Only now that I've dinged you on DealerRater do your ears perk up, my reply to Jean Hall didn't get a response. I called the day after delivery and told Ron D (who feigns hearing problems) about the horrible cold startup noise in the car. All that was offered was a look at it (while warm) and a battery replacement AT MY EXPENSE. I cold started the car with the serpentine belt off to eliminate accessories and the noise remained. Sounds like a timing chain howling over a guide or tensioner. Watched a master tech's video on a chain guide replacement, he said a 15+ hour job. That's why you didn't fix it, just warmed it up before the test drive and crossed your fingers. You already know all of this because you diagnosed it yourselves. I'm convinced you knowingly sold the car with the engine noise. The day of delivery sales wouldn't even get the second key fob working, telling me to place the battery myself. You want to fix it? Send a tech up here with a loaner, we'll cold start it together. He can take it back to Westbrook, doing the reverse when repair is completed. I don't want to step foot on your property.
