The gentleman that processed me in was awesome. That said I used the app to schedule my appointment. When I arrived I was asked how I made my appointment. I said on the app and had the confirmation info that was sent to me. I was told I should’ve called because the app doesn’t work or doesn’t let the dealership know. I was then told they didn’t have my appointment and were booked solid. The representative went on to say that they would fit me in. After sitting in the waiting room for 30 minutes I got up and looked for my car and couldn’t find it. I took a walk outside and found my car sitting out back in the lot. Angry because I scheduled an appointment I went inside and expressed my frustrations and asked for my car back to leave. The representative went to retrieve and came back explaining my car was next and said “your here let us get this done”….. I expressed I’m frustrated because I scheduled my appointment for 9:30AM and was actually told by him “the appointments aren’t really an appointment - it’s a time you schedule to be taken in”……I’m still in shock over being told that an appointment isn’t really an appointment . So I sat back down and they finished the oil change. As I was signing my paperwork I was told that this was actually good time. I looked at my watch and it took an hour an forty minutes for an oil change and tire rotation. To say I’m frustrated would be an understatement. I live in town and this dealership is 10 minutes from my home. My local shop does my oil change and tire rotation in about 30 - 40min…… why? Because they start at the time you schedule the appointment. I did ask if anything has been said to Toyota about the app not working and I was told yes months ago but they haven’t done anything. Mind you when I purchased this car I was “sold” on the app to use it to make life easier. Something is wrong here….not sure if it’s the dealership, lack of management or Toyota. I question if I’ll go back. Having my car pulled into the garage to just be moved outside while I sit waiting for 30minutes thinking my car is being worked on is a lack of respect for the customer and a lack of communication to be honest that the car isn’t going to be taken in at the scheduled time. If the dealership was up front with me I would’ve left to come back or rescheduled a different day. We’re all busy and I had a lot to do that day. Very frustrated with Toyota of Westboro More
