I would also like to say that this is my first online review ever but felt compelled to leave one for other patrons of this dealership after my experience. My complaint/warning to others is about the follow up service. I brought my car in for an oil change and was told that I was do for a few other services: fluid and brake change, which seemed right, and some kind of bearing, which ended up being very expensive. I was told that the technician heard a whirring noise while driving my car. I asked if this was a safety concern and was told that it was so I went ahead and got it fixed. So far, so good besides being irritated about the price. This is the part which would prevent me from returning or recommending this dealership again. My car continued to make the aforementioned whirring noise as loudly as it ever had before, which led me to believe that the bearing had been repaired incorrectly or misdiagnosed in the first place. I sent an email asking about this. I also left two different voicemails with the service department when my email went unanswered. The voicemails also are yet to be returned. (I don’t live in the area, if you are wondering why I haven’t gone back in person) Moral of the story is that everyone was very nice and accommodating when the were convincing me to spend hundreds and thousands of dollars on my car but are wholly uninterested in me after the fact when I suspect that I may have been taken for a ride. Bring your car anywhere else for more than an oil change. More

Good price, excruciating expereince I want to be fair, I really do. But it was a horrendous experience, with all the usual car sales tricks in the book. I did my homework on car price, found truecar average. I didn't want to low ball, I am happy for a dealer to make a reasonable profit. And they did, while also giving me a good price, just a couple hundred bucks over the average price people were paying for the same model. Now did doing my homework and knowing what the TrueCar price was put them on the defensive? I don't know, perhaps.. Maybe they thought I was there to play hardball. It was actually my first car buying experience. The first guy I met did the test drive then pretended to negotiate while insulting me with full retail MSRP then acted like he coudln't discount. Ok, fine, I started to walk. When in fine sales static playbook, the 'good cop' guy chases me down and convinces me to come back and talk. So the first guy was a test just to see if I was dumb enough to pay MSRP, now I met the "real" sales guy I get to actually negotiate with. He gives me some nonsense on how this car I wanted had better floor mats or somehow was different, which isn't true. The trim packages are all same from Honda. I knew the trim package, I new the TrueCar price on my trim package. And the usual game continues, to go 'talk to his boss' (anyone who's ever seen the movie Fargo knows how that really works). Making me wait trying to wear me down. I should have probably walked then. Then he comes down a little, I say if they can't do better I'll walk, no hard feelings. And i get the emotional speech about how they've discounted and i'm not even meeting half way. Not true, I told what I wanted to pay, I already met half way. I just wanted them to meet me the other half way. Eventually they did but by then I was tired and irritated. Fortunately by then I dind't want any of the up-sells the finance office tries to push on you. They also tried to hold the car captive, saying if I didn't have insurance i couldn't take the car home right then. Of course the Allstate lady was happy to sell me a new policy there. That was bunk too because I had insurance, I and was insured driving the car even if it wasn't on my policy yet. But fine, I pull out my phone, get the VIN, put it in my insurance app and viola, here's my new insurance card for the new car. Finally I get the car, 4-5 hours later. I thought maybe this was just normal for everyone. But someone else told me when they went to a different dealer, they already had low fixed prices and non commission sales people and it was a pleasant experience. Now to be fair to West Hills Honda, they delivered me a great car, I got it at a good price. Maybe they thought I wanted to haggle or play hardball. No, I wasn't looking to haggle, I waned a good price while allowing them a fair profit. We wasted so much time, had they just come in the first 20 minutes and given me the car a couple hundred bucks over TrueCar average sale price, we'd have been done and I'd have been much less irritated. I thought I did my research but I've learned so much more about the car business since then. I could have cost them their profit by slamming them on the manufacturer's satisfaction survey but I was nice and didn't, so I'm not writing this review to be spiteful, I'm being honest about my experience. He focused solely on my situation -- exhibiting patience and empathy. No clock on the wall limited his diligence in getting the deal that met my needs. He was a great listener. And, his knowledge of the product and the sales process was top-notch. In the end, I was also impressed by the finance person, David (don't recall last name). He was fastidious about the paperwork and a lot of fun. More

Power feels like a Porsche. Mike knew the Ridgeline inside and out. We knew wanted this truck. Mike made it easy for us to decide to buy this truck from West Hills Honda. This is the third Honda I have purchased from West Hills Honda, a 2013 Pilot, a 2015 Pilot and now the 2019 Honda Ridgeline.
