I am from Rochester NY and I was driving to Buffalo NY (an hour away) in my recently purchased used Chevy Aveo. My car was overheating and I nursed it to the closest Chevy dealer, Glen Campbell Chevy in (an hour away) in my recently purchased used Chevy Aveo. My car was overheating and I nursed it to the closest Chevy dealer, Glen Campbell Chevy in Buffalo. The service was good at first, and Tom Lobosco hit me up for $1800 for a heater core replacement. On a hunch, I called the dealer in Rochester that sold me the car and they said they would fix it for free since I had just purchased it. I had it towed there, took an Amtrak back to Rochester (on my birthday mind you). A day later my dealer called me and told me the car was ready and that it wasn't a heater core issue, it was simply a hose clamp. I have driven the car nearly 1000 miles since with no issue, so it was obviously just the clamp. I asked Glen Campbell for the $100 diagnostic fee back in good faith and they will not unless I drive all the way back to Buffalo so they can check it. I told them that I would not be inconvenienced any further, and to call the service manager at my dealership. After speaking with him, they did not call me back, and have maintained a hardline stance in not refunding my money, not even partially. Eventually I was hung up on by Jay Campbell the general manager. The issue is currently being handled by Chevy Corporate. I will never go to Glen Campbell again, and this honestly shakes my confidence in ever buying Chevy again (NEVER had these problems with Honda or Subaru...). More
I can no longer recommend this dealership. This is the third bad experience I am having with them! Even if you have an appointment, it makes no difference. Do not expect your vehicle back the same day you third bad experience I am having with them! Even if you have an appointment, it makes no difference. Do not expect your vehicle back the same day you take it in, even for jobs that elsewhere (in my experience) shouldn't take all day. Example, my local Dodge dealer works on Dodge for the SAME repair that my Chevy is in for. In both cases I night drop the car so the service department can have it first thing in the morning, and I always have an appointment. The repair at Dodge was completed by noon; but at Glen Campbell, here it is 2:30 and they have not even started on my vehicle. If my Dodge dealer needed to keep the vehicle over night, I would be offered a free loner, but you have to rant and rave to be offered a loaner (and that was my previous service call after five, FIVE!!! days). This is the third time i have had to return because the work was not done at all or not done so that it fixed the problem the vehicle was brought in for. No one in service seems to be able to get these things done. If it were just me, then I would say maybe they got something against me, but it is a half dozen of my neighbors as well. My neighbor is trying to find out if his daughter's car will be even looked at today. He also had an appointment to get it fixed. He is calling around other dealers right now and if he finds one who can get his daughter's car done today or even tomorrow, he is marching up there to get the car. That is how dissatisfied me and my neighbors are about this dealership. I hope to see my car again soon, but I will be taking to a new place (recommended by a friend) to make sure that what was supposed to be done was done. If not, I am going to make a complaint at the Attorney General's website. More
I have been screwed by the biggest and best in the Western New York area. So, I was well prepared when I arrived at Glen Campbell Chevrolet. My family was treated with respect, courtesy, and we were Western New York area. So, I was well prepared when I arrived at Glen Campbell Chevrolet. My family was treated with respect, courtesy, and we were not given high pressure sales approach. In less than 3 hours, we came to see the car in which we were interested, we were appoved for the loan, and left with the car that evening with almost no money down. Before you jump to to conclusion that my payments were astronomical, don't. I paid what I wanted for the vehicle, was given the interest rate I expected, and my payments are reasonable. This was the one and only time in which I left a dealership as a satisfied customer with no problems and a gut feeling that I was doing the right thing. Thank you Paul and Dave. More
I also tried getting a car here, but ended up speaking to an older guy who basically told me the car I wanted was REALLY Expensive and that their NEVER move off of sticker ... but he didn't realize I can pay an older guy who basically told me the car I wanted was REALLY Expensive and that their NEVER move off of sticker ... but he didn't realize I can pay cash for that REALLY expensive car, even though I am young. As the story goes, I did end of buying a car ... not from these guys. I don't know why these dealers keep playing games. American cars are not worth 1 penny over invoice, and also giving up $1000's in rebates ... More
I bought a pre-owned SUV at this Buffalo-suburb dealer back in 2001. Overall, the sales staff were friendly enough, but not the brightest bunch of the population. But that's OK, I suppose, as long as the back in 2001. Overall, the sales staff were friendly enough, but not the brightest bunch of the population. Working with a few hundred dollars at a time (yes, even $100 at a time!) was really frustrating. It's how the manager-behind-the-wall tells the sales people to deal.

I finally got to meet the floor manager before signing off the deal.
