I recently purchased a used 2006 Jeep Liberty from this dealership. The salesman was very friendly and courteous, as was the general manager Melissa. During the initial test drive and inspection of the vehicle, it was discovered that it needed a new battery and the rear window latch needed to be replaced. These repairs were completed by the time we returned to complete the purchase. As we completed the paperwork for the purchase, it was brought to our attention that here was only 1 key for the vehicle. We were told that we could go to the West Herr Jeep dealership to purchase a 2nd key with an employee discount if we wanted. This is the first time I was only given 1 key when purchasing a vehicle. I also mentioned this to the general manager (Melissa) who said she would attempt to contact the previous owner and try to obtain a 2nd key. Never heard anything more. As we drove off the lot, we were also suprised to find out that the vehicle only had a 1/4 tank of gas, as we were told we would get at least a 1/2 tank. After contacting the dealership and talking to Melissa, she graciously sent us 2 gas cards for $20 each. The following Saturday, I attempted to get a second key from the West Herr Jeep dealership I was referred too. I visited the dealership around 11:00 am and was told they were too busy to accommodate my request. I was also told they had no extended service hours during the week. Two weeks later on a Saturday, I again attempted to obtain a key from the same dealership and again was told they were too busy. Guess I'll live with 1 key for now. I had the Jeep for 53 days before the rear passenger window broke. After doing some research online about this very common Jeep problem, I contacted the dealership to see what could be done. As I spoke to my salesman Mario, I was kindly reminded that my warranty expired after 30 days, but he would see what he could do. He did call back, said he spoke to the general manager Melissa, but could not make any guarantees that they would cover the repairs. He then referred me to the service manager Steve Hudson to make an appointment. I called back and left a meesage for Mr. Hudson, outling the problem and discussion I had with Mario. Still waiting for a call back. Extremely frustrated at this point, I fixed the vehicle myself at a cost of $95. According to online comments about this problem, I can also expect to pay $95 apiece for the other 3 windows. In summary, the service I receieved up to the purchase was great. Afterwards, no so good. Having spent the last 20 years with another local dealership, it was my complete pleasure on all accounts to now be a proud member of the West Herr "family" & proudly recommend this dealership to anyone who would like to be taken care of in a timely & friendly atmosphere & with confidence that you will be treated in a fashion which everyone deserves & without hesitation would return to this dealership time & time again.
