On Saturday 2/19/22, I went to West County Honda for an oil change in my 2012 Accord. I decided to trade in my 2012 Honda Accord for $7,000 and purchase a brand new 2022 Honda Accord-EXL. The sticker price (MSRP) was listed as $33,850.00, less my $7,000 trade I was looking at a net to finance amount around $26,850 (vehicle only). During the discussion with the salesperson, we negotiated back and forth on the trade, and I asked her why the “Fair Market” value rate is listed as $38,499+499 ($39,194.00) and the sticker (MSRP) was listed at $33,850.00? She explained it’s addon’s including the side molding and all-season protection package, at no point in this discussion with the salesperson or the signing of the finance manager did they explain that they are price gouging with a markup of $3,000 due to the market industry demands. If they would have said that I would have taken my current vehicle and left, I refuse to pay more than what a vehicle is worth. After further reviewing the contract over the weekend, building the vehicle online, there was an increase over MSRP of $5,324.00, plus I decided to cancel the extra maintenance addon’s they offered. On 2/22/22, I went back to West County Honda, and I spoke to the Salesperson, Sales Manager, and the Finance Manager. I explained that I was not happy with their sale processes and feel it’s unethical that they are price gouging their customers and not informing them of the details which are included in the price of the vehicle. During my discussions with the Salesperson and Sales Manager, they advised “Everyone is doing it!” I explained that is not an excuse and I was getting nowhere with them, and I would be contacting the General Manager of Honda, Attorney General, my attorney, and the news groups. I asked to speak with the finance manager to remove the maintenance packages totaling $4,425.00. He agreed to cancel the packages and credit the funding amount back to the finance company, Wells Fargo. I am happy with the vehicle; this is not the problem. The problem is their unethical behavior and the price gouging they are doing to their customers. I have personally purchased (3) brand new vehicles from them in the past 22 years. My family has purchased another 6-10 over the years. This experience has left a very bad taste in my mouth, and I will not be doing business with this company again. More

Back in June we bought a 2004 Honda Pilot from West County Honda. The car had only 77,000 miles and we got it for a great price. The dealership did a thorough check up on the car beforehand. While the sales man was nice, he also was pushing BS on us. I get that there is low inventory but intentionally robbing people and charging $5000 over MSRP is just sad. I went to another dealer and got the us. I get that there is low inventory but intentionally robbing people and charging $5000 over MSRP is just sad. I went to another dealer and got the same car, same options at MSRP. They even had the nerve to top it off with a $499 administration fee? (other dealer is $199 (still insane for paper work)) Screw you guys, this is just greed at it's worst. I'm sorry business is bad for you but other dealers are still being honest and sticking with MSRP. Doing this kind of crap is going to make you lose even more business. More

BEWARE…You Cannot even look at cars now without sitting down and answering personal questions for 20 minutes. I’ve bought 3 cars here in the past and always had a good experience . But I was treated so ru down and answering personal questions for 20 minutes. I’ve bought 3 cars here in the past and always had a good experience . But I was treated so rudely by sales person DON after I said I didn’t want to fill out paperwork just to see a car. He told us to leave if we wouldn’t comply. I guess I need a new dealership . More
Last oil change they didn’t attach the bottom cover on my car properly. Of course it fell down and was damaged. I had to drive over an hour to bring it in. First thing they say I hit something, I said I did car properly. Of course it fell down and was damaged. I had to drive over an hour to bring it in. First thing they say I hit something, I said I did not. They called me a liar in so many words. I bought an extended warranty, at that time I was told everything is covered. Now it doesn’t include the piece that you caused to be damaged. It wouldn’t be quite so infuriating except you had to replace it before. It was missing half of the screws!!! From now on I’ll have to crawl under to make sure you’ve attached it properly after my oil change. The woman that handled it was terrible. She argued with me that caused it and was lying. Finally the manager came and agreed it hadn’t struck anything. It fell down from shoddy workmanship. That woman needs a course in customer relations. More
