Fantastic Sales Experience, Miserable Financing Experience I worked with Mike B. He worked very hard to meet my needs and expectations. He was fantastic with communication, worked hard on my behalf, was honest I worked with Mike B. He worked very hard to meet my needs and expectations. He was fantastic with communication, worked hard on my behalf, was honest and transparent, and I would recommend Mike wholeheartedly. The problem came to financing. I already have trust issues with car dealerships and I am very choosy and demanding to ensure I don't get take advantage of again. Unfortunately, when it came to signing the paperwork, my appointment was given to someone else, my quoted APR went up 1.75% and was with a different lender, and he tried to scam me on the price of the "add ons'. Up to this point, I had every faith and trust in this dealership. When I was told what the new interest rate was going to be and why I promptly got up and walked out. Magically, the interest rate was "fixed". I will give credit where credit is due, the finance manager was actually able to get me a better rate than originally quoted, but it all felt dishonest and dirty. If I had not been educated enough and taken advantage enough in the past, I may have fallen victim to the "switch and bait" and that is what really makes me angry. They are stating it was a misunderstanding and perhaps it actually was. However; based on my experiences with car dealers and the industry's scam tactics as a whole, I find it hard to accept as just an innocent misunderstanding. However, I have no proof if it was innocent or intentional, but it left a bad taste in my mouth and I am very untrusting of the dealership now. They are a big dealership and I do hope it was all an innocent mistake for the sake of all the people who will buy cars here. I would also like to think it was innocent because Mike is a great person to work with and I'd hate to think his reputation might be tarnished by potentially unscrupulous behavior of the dealer. Based on my overall experience, I can not give a rating higher than 3 out of 5 stars. I recommend the dealer IF you are working with Mike and take caution with the financing department. **Update to review: The finance department made another mistake and I ended up having to go back in and sign a new contract. Again, to give credit, where credit is due, they lowered my APR to make up for the mistake and inconvenience. Again, at the end of the day, was all of this a big snafu or something more nefarious? I don't know, but in the end, I am happy with the financing piece because of the lower APR. More
