I went online to the Wesley Chapel Toyota site and they had a car like my wife wanted. When I went to the dealership to get their quote on the car they had added about $3,700.00 in additional items to thei had a car like my wife wanted. When I went to the dealership to get their quote on the car they had added about $3,700.00 in additional items to their online quote .I gave them an out-the- door price excluding these items and they accepted it. Our overall experience was good. Our sales person Isabel was very helpful. Be prepared with your out-the-door price that you are willing to pay before you walk into the dealership. More
Went online and followed instructions to prepare a price quote in advance. Printed paper and went to Wesley Chapel Toyota. Once there sales rep tells me the pin stripe, window tint, floor mats and a trackin quote in advance. Printed paper and went to Wesley Chapel Toyota. Once there sales rep tells me the pin stripe, window tint, floor mats and a tracking device was already in car. I told him multiple times this wasn't mentioned online Wesley Chapel site. They reduced price for these extras from a little over $1500 to $500. I still believe this was a bait and switch. Buyers beware, when doing price quotes online with Wesley Chapel Toyota, they are going to charge for extras not mentioned online. They told me this crap is done to the cars when they receive them. It's bull, I asked for one without this extra crap and he tells me they don't have any. I drove over an hour to this place just to get items I didn't want pushed on me. I could've gone closer where I live and gotten crap I didn't want on my vehicle dumped on me. The vehicle was falsely described online and I think it's very sneaky, not to mention unethical. More
Buyer Beware of Wesley Chapel Toyota & their Bait & Switch scam! I contacted Wesley Chapel Toyota on Feb 18, 2021 in regards to a 2019 Toyota Tundra that they had advertised at what I thought to be Switch scam! I contacted Wesley Chapel Toyota on Feb 18, 2021 in regards to a 2019 Toyota Tundra that they had advertised at what I thought to be a great price & with a warranty to boot. Left my information on their website and received a call from a salesperson the following morning Feb 19, 2021 from a salesperson (Zach Mueller) telling me that the vehicle was still available and that he'd get back to me in 15 minutes with a total price and information on how to (e-pay) as I'd be coming from Georgia to buy it & their dealership doesn't accept deposits to hold vehicles, so I'd have to pay for it up front over the internet to make sure no one else snatched up my great deal before I got there. ( conversation recorded for corroboration). In the meantime, I began searching airfare deals preparing to fly out to Tampa to pick up the vehicle. Super pumped & excited to get into this new truck & begin modifying the he'll out of it! Forward to 2:00 p.m & still no word. Huh? People dont keep their word anymore these days? Patience wearing thin now...I reached out to Zach via text for an update, only to be informed that they'd "lost" the vehicle. (See text screenshots) & that he'd let me know as soon as he found something out. Yeah.🤥 Sure.😒 NEVER heard from him again. Lol....My!....what great customer service you provide dear Zach! That same evening, I had "my brother" Rick contact them about the same vehicle to see if Zach's/Wesley Chapel's intentions were pure or nefarious &...... sure as s#@t......they called & left him a message telling him that the vehicle was still in stock!😖 I called Wesley Chapel at around 9:20 a.m ...(2/20/21) & asked to speak to a sales manager. I was then transferred over to someone named "John" who confirmed that he was indeed a sales manager but did not provide me with a last name. John informed me that the vehicle had been sold over a week ago & Zach had made him aware of that last night. So of course I asked...why then...is Zach still lying & telling people that its still in stock? Needless to say, John became very irate, rude, combative, & proceeded to enter into a tirade/lecture about them not being able to sell 600 cars a month if they "weren't doing it the right way"...which I of course hung up in the middle of rather than continue to be subject to said childlike rantings. Clearly...they tried to pull a bait & switch on me...got busted....& in true crook fashion....got uber defensive when confronted with their own truth. I was taken aback by this tactic employed by Wesley Chapel Toyota as prior to this, I'd regarded them highly, been a fan of their work,from what I'd seen on various YouTube videos, so I was honestly stoked at the opportunity to finally do business with them & spread the word about the awesome service provided by them that I got a chance to experience firsthand. NOT!! Once again.....NOT!! Huge let down all around & Zach Mueller is supposedly a veteran so to think that our service members are conducting themselves in this manner & doing such a disservice to their public in this way is abhorrent & deplorable to say the least. Don't just take my word for it...Check my receipts folks. The proof is in the pudding. So before patronizing an establishment like Wesley Chapel Toyota of Tampa......CAVEAT EMPTOR. You've been warned fine folks. More
