I bought an after market item for the front bumper(Vanity plate holder), I felt that this mass produced piece of plastic is vastly overpriced and when one of the service people was kind enough to install it plate holder), I felt that this mass produced piece of plastic is vastly overpriced and when one of the service people was kind enough to install it for me he could not find a screw long enough to place it on the bumper, even though it came with its own hardware. The vehicle is equipped with "Down hill assist control" which was never explained to me although now that I have read the manual, I have some understanding of the system. The vehicle is equipped with "Satellite Radio" but the terms and conditions were never explained to me. I purchased the vehicle and paid in full on May 28 2011 and I still don't have a vehicle registration. I would be hard pressed to explain to a deputy where it is. Having said all this, I still feel good about buying the vehicle and dealing with the sales people whom we came in contact with. Everyone made an effort to accomodate our particlular requests and showed us the utmost courtesy. More
We have a 95 Toyota Camry with 185K miles, we love the car. A few days ago the A/C condenser got hit with something from the road and our A/C was not cooling. My sister had recently purchased a Toyota from Ray I had gone with her to pick up her garage door opener tht she had left in her old toyota she traded in. I met Ray then. I had been considering a purchase but wasn't sure what make I wanted. Ray had showed me a couple of cars but I wasn't sold on any of them. A week later I decided to look again. I went down to Toyota again, as my sister told me that Ray was really a great guy and he wasn't pushie. When we arrived we asked for Ray, he asked me what type of vehicle I wanted. At the time I thought I wanted a SUV. He showed me two different models. I wasn't sold on either of them. He asked me what I was driving and what it was I wanted in a vehicle. He then showed me the car I purchased. It had everything that I wanted. I drove it and fell in love. Ray was wonderful. He listened to what I was saying and immediately knew tht it wasn't an SUV I was looking for but a car much like the one I owned. He was with me every step of the way thru the experience of the purchase. I wouldn't hesitate to send anyone I know that is remotely thinking of purchaseing a vehicle. All the people that I delt with were absolutely wonderful, very helpful and very informed on their particular phase of the purchase. Friendly service. Worked the deal quickly. Was not pushy at all. I traded/turned in my 2008 Camry that was a lease a bought a 2011 Corolla. Took my truck in on May 24th, got it on Jun 3. I pre-ordered the parts, but the parts dept either ordered the wrong one or received the wrong ones. Parts also quoted a much higher price, even telli pre-ordered the parts, but the parts dept either ordered the wrong one or received the wrong ones. Parts also quoted a much higher price, even telling me my numbers were wrong, they weren't. I have no problem with the service department, but I will never order anything from the parts department, and I will they everyone I know not to order from the parts dept. and I will update my status on the XRU website and share my experience with everyone there. Service took monies off their bill, the parts dept says they can't do anything, after this incompetent showing I know why they can't do anything right. When your spending over $4K on parts, you would think they would double & triple check the order. If it is that hard maybe you should get smarter folks, or least ones that can read. I have ran a parts dept, there is no way I would tolerate the lack of service and attention to detail that is normal for the parts dept. They even claimed that the number are close, PTR-35110 Tacoma & PTR-35093 FJ, don't look close to me. If something isn't changed, you will have plenty of angry customers. More
