Purchased a used Sequoia from them on July 1st. Since we got it home the engine light popped on. We came here because large dealerships like this typically do not sell garbage because they want to keep their good name. Not this one. They even charged us an extra $1000 for a driver side door actuator, a repair never happened. It's a $50 part and all you have to do is take door panel off and they charged us $1k and still never fixed it. I drove it to work yesterday and the thing felt like it was going to shake itself to pieces. More
SOLD us a 2013 RAV 4 with a bad torque, which we found out 5 days after purchase. To make matters WORSE, when they eventually FIXED the car it almost killed my husband. When he was driving home he heard a noise & when he got home looked underneath the car he saw the DRIVESHAFT SCREWS were LOOSE. MAJOR DISASTER WAITING TO HAPPEN. On June 9, 2023 my husband went to purchase a car for our son in college & AMAR AMIRI was his salesman. He took a 2013 RAV 4 for a test drive & while driving my husband heard a sound coming from the car & ask AMAR whats that sound & he replied "its because you are driving too close to the sidewalk" This SCAMMER AMAR assured my husband the car was in good working order. We paid $12,784 CASH. My husband got the car checked out because of how it sounded and was told that the torque is bad and also the computer system needed to be updated. We called the dealer & told them what was happening & was told to bring the car into the service department. We took the car back on June 14th at 8AM; 5 days after purchase & was told someone would get back to us with the cost of repairs. No one called on the 14th about the car. On the15th my husband called, they said no one was available & took his phone number & said someone would call back. No one called. We called back on the 16th the same response. Needless to say, NO ONE CALLED US. We went to the dealer June 18 & spoke to AMAR & demanded to see a Manager. He came back and said no manager is available, he is our manager. I just laughed at him. I got angry & said "you are not the manager , what a joke" (I guess the manager told him to deal with us BECAUSE WE ARE SMALL FISH) AMAR started to say the car was sold "AS IS" and its a 2013 car and because we bought it cash there is no warranty & we should take it someplace else to have it fixed because it will be cheaper for us. How ABSURD!! I started talking aloud & some man came over & spoke to me, did not even introduce himself (SOME F...UP CUSTOMER SERVICE YOU HAVE THERE TOYOTA) I told him the problem, which i think he already knew. He gave me a card with his name on it ANTHONY "WOODY" GIVENS. He told AMAR to go to the service department & find out who is looking about the car & walked away. AMAR came back after 10 minutes & instead of going to ANTHONY, he started to tell us all over again we should take the car somewhere else because its going to cost us too much to fix there. I walked away from AMAR & went into the office where ANTHONY was sitting & spoke to him. ANTHONY told me that his CELL PHONE # is on the card & i should call him on Monday June 18 & he would work it out that i pay the least possible amount. Monday June 18 i called ANTHONY around 1PM; NEEDLESS TO SAY he did not answer so i left a message. At 4:30 i called back, left message, then called receptionist & asked for ANTHONY, she had me on hold then came back & said he is not available she will take my number & have him call me. I called service department they put me to MATTHEW'S phone, i left a message NO ONE RETURNED ANY OF MY CALLS. Called Tuesday, no response. June 19 i called spoke to BRIANNA who said ANTHONY was not available. Called June 20 spoke to CHRISTINE told her the situation & asked to speak to the General Manager. She took my number & said someone would call me back. NO ONE DID. Someone from the service department called on June 20 & said the car would cost $3,500 to repair, it would take 20 hours & we would be charged $1700.00. My husband picked up the car on Friday June 23, drove 22 miles to home with a LOOSE DRIVE SHAFT. He heard a noise & when he got home, looked underneath the car the BOLTS for the DRIVESHAFT were just sitting there NOT BOLTED IN. God was on his side, he could have had a major accident. IN GOOD FAITH & GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE TOYOTA OF WESLEY CHAPEL SHOULD HAVE HANDLED THE SITUATION BETTER. NEVER AGAIN TO More
Stay away from Wesley Chapel Toyota! I received a call that my car was due for an oil change and tire rotation service. I asked if that was covered under the maintenance plan that I pu I received a call that my car was due for an oil change and tire rotation service. I asked if that was covered under the maintenance plan that I purchased when I purchased the vehicle. After being on hold for a few minutes, the scheduler indicated that it would be covered as my maintenance plan expires in April 2024. When I received a call reminding me of my appointment, I asked again if this service is covered under my plan. This scheduler also confirmed that it would be covered and that there were already notes indicating that it would be covered and that she will make it even clearer on the notes for the service advisor. The next day, after the service was performed, the service advisor said that the plan has expired and if I want reimbursement, he said to "take it up with Toyota financial group." After explaining multiple times that I was told that 2 of their schedulers that the service was verified to be covered under my plan and that I would not have taken my vehicle to Wesley Chapel if it was not covered, he clearly did not care nor believe me. He asked me the date and time of the calls, which I provided. He said the service manager would call me back after 1 pm that day. He never called back. I have left 3 voice messages with no return call. To get my car back, I paid the cost on my credit card. Now I am denying the credit card charge and filing a Better Business Bureau case for unscrupulous business practices! Do yourself a favor, and stay away from this dealership! They are a mess! We are also in the market for a new Rav4, but we will not be doing business with Wesley Chapel Toyota nor will we ever use their services again! More

All options and accessories worked flawlessly with ZERO issues. Their pictures and descriptions of the vehicle were spot on. The sales team and finance dept. were informative, professional and offered me outstanding personal attention that was a crucial part of why we purchased our Caddy from Wesley Chapel Toyota. Hence, our "average" rating for the financing process. It would have been "very poor" if not for Woody sitting down and listening to our grievances and quickly resolving them. To any potential customers, I would suggest making sure that you thoroughly review what you are being charged instead of verbally listening to what they may be telling you. Read what you are signing. If they say "The extended warranty is only an extra $40 a month.", ask them for the actual cost. Most times GAP and extended warranties through the lender, not the dealership, are much cheaper and easier to file a claim with. Good luck! More
