In the past I've never had much luck in dealing with Tallahassee dealerships, for a variety of reasons. We always found ourselves going to Thomasville and Cairo for our car purchases. When it came down to looking for an Elantra, I didn't hesitate to look elsewhere right off the bat. I really hadn't heard anything about the dealership, and the few things I did hear were not complementary. I wanted to deal with a dealership with a good reputation that I could feel confident with my purchase and not feel taken advantage of. I did my homework on the vehicle, prices and dealership and found one to my liking in the Jacksonville area. In just a few days, completely via e-mail, we struck a deal for well below factory invoice for an Elantra with preferred package, carpeted mats, auto-dim mirror and cargo tray. My car should be delivered to my home within the next week. My son asked why we didn't buy here in Tallahassee so I told him and wanted to demonstrate. We decided to take a trip to the dealership, but before we went I wanted to make sure they had an elantra on the lot. When I called they said they had a 2012 elantra and a 2011 used elantra on the lot. I said great and i'd be there in 10 minutes. No surprise, there wasn't an elantra on site. I asked why just 15 minutes earlier someone told me they had two elantras on the lot, but now there are none? They simply replied..not sure. Frustrating experience..but not unexpected. I thought that was a nice lesson for my son that where you buy a car is just as important as the price you pay! I would highly recommend if you're looking for a Hyundai...look elsewhere. I was able to find a dealership with virtually no haggle pricing at or below factory invoice pricing. The icing on top of the cake...they'll deliver the car to your front door step..for free! More
I went in interested in purchasing a new car. All of the salespeople were extremely friendly and helpful. Test drove two separate cars and found the one I wanted. Michael Champion went out of his way to help and make sure I understood all of the features that my new car had and showed me how to use them all, even though he was not my salesman. The whole entire staff made me feel comfortable and I thoroughly would recommend this dealership for your car needs. More
I saw a vehicle advertised, on their website, that I was interested in. The Santa Fe was only 4 months old. I called and made an inquiry and got hold of Jacob, and wanted to know why the vehicle had been tr interested in. The Santa Fe was only 4 months old. He said that there could be several reasons and did not give a legimate one. I went into the dealer to look at this car, Jacob told me that he was going to contact the previous owner and would find something out that same night and let me know. That was the last time I spoke with Jacob. He gave me the cold shoulder after I told him I wasn't going to finance the car and had already been preapproved somewhere else. The night that I picked the vehicle up to test drive it they couldn't find the keys. One of the service techs had taken the keys with him after he had replaced the windshield in the car.They finally located the keys and I left with the vehicle. The next day I returned the car and spoke with the salesman and another manager. Later that day, I called the salesman and told him that I was interested in the car and mades a sales offer. I heard nothing from him the rest of the day. The next day, I called back and spoke with the new car manager and he assured me that he would get back to me that very day on the status of my deal. While I had him on the phone, I asked him if he was familiar with the reason why the vehicle had been traded back in in such a short time. He stated that the vechile had been struck by lightening and it knocked out the electrical relays. He also stated that the reason the windshield was broken was because there had been a homelink system in the vehicle and they had removed it to put it in another vehicle and in doing so, broke the windshield. He has never called me back on the response to my car deal, nor has my salesperson. More
I was driving by and saw a car I liked. I went in, took it for a ride and decided to buy it. I called a friend that had access to dealer pricing and asked what the car was worth. He told me based on the information on the car fax. Charles Sciandra said the information I gave was wrong and gave me a different model to check. He intentionally gave me a model that was worth more so that I would pay a higher price. I didnt realize this until I was home and checked the internet. When I called the dealership to tel them this and to cancel the sale Charles Sciandra would never come to the phone. They assigned someone else to me. I went in later than morning and got my deposit back. I then went down the street to Capital Volkswagon and bought the same car. I had an excellent experience there.
