So often, too often, one hears horror stories about car dealerships: the hard sell, trumped up service charges, delays and callous service with little regard as to the client’s needs. Nothing could be farther from those experiences at Wellesley Toyota Service. In the twelve years I have been a client of the service department, I have never been disappointed by the professional care my car has received, the relationship the staff has built with me, and the transparency with which the team has always discussed my car’s needs and the price point of each thing to be done to my car. Last night, in the middle of this heat wave, my car’s air conditioning went down. Completely. I called Wellesley Toyota hoping that at some point in the near future they would be able to fit me in. Well, it’s 10:30 the next morning, and I am home with a fully functioning, ice-cold-blasting air conditioner. Before I left Wellesley Toyota, I asked Eric Graf, the Service Department Director, for places online I could write to let others know what wonderful service I had received. After my second request he turned over this website so that I could let others know just how fabulous his service department is. It’s clear that Eric and his team treat every client with the same level of attention. I’m not even sure that Eric realizes how special this level of service is and how rarely one encounters this level of exemplary service in the day-to-day world. As I sat waiting for my car, I watched as Eric and his team of consultants conferred with clients. (I should also mention that they have a quiet room as well as a large room with a television for patrons who prefer to wait with entertainment.) The tone is upbeat, and while the department is busy, it never feels rushed or harried. Some may refer to my car as old; I prefer to think of my aging Rav4 as ‘vintage.’ In the last couple of years it has needed some work, mostly unplanned. Each time I call, Eric has been incredibly accommodating, fitting me in, including the time a speeding driver on Watertown Street in Newton yanked the driver-side door off its hinges. He has never made me feel rushed or as if I am inconveniencing him. Rather, he has always taken his time explaining my options so that I am clear what my choices are before I decide how to proceed. I find that Eric is always the voice of reason encouraging me to try the least expensive option when sometimes I am tempted to just plunge ahead. This willingness to work with me has built such trust that I have complete faith in what he says. What a wonderful way to feel about the person who is caring for your car! While Eric has been terrific in addressing my emergency needs, I should also point out that I have been equally satisfied with my routine care. I happen to love my RAV4, as it is the older model and I would like to keep it as long as I can. Eric and I discussed what the car would need to keep it safe and viable. His assessment was clear and I now have a plan for the next year, as I begin to think about replacing the RAV. Eric is the consummate professional. It is clear that he has set the tone for his entire department. Clients are treated with respect, and even as Wellesley Toyota continues to grow, Eric has not lost the sense of ‘family’ that has set his service department apart from other dealerships. While purchasing my new 2012 Toyota Tundra I made a couple of additional service related requests. I wanted different tires (provided by me) to be mounted and balanced as well as Rhino Lining. I bought my car at Wellesley Toyota and wouldn't go anywhere else for a new car. Yesterday I worked with Chris, and I was really nervous because the check engine light was on in the car. The repair was covered under warranty and Chris couldn't have been more kind or helpful. It was a shock to find such honest and skillful people at Wellesley Toyota, after being frustrated by dishonesty and incompetence at three other Toyota dealerships. Other dealers wanted to sell me a canister, a $500-$600 repair, when all my car needed was a reflash to shut off my "check engine" light which has been on for more than three years. Nick, on a recent visit, advised me not to perform service I thought I needed and instead told me what the car did in fact need, thus making sure that the money I spent was well spent. In addition, they are always polite and respectful, unlike staff at another dealer in the route 128 area and another on the MA/NH border, which repeatedly did not perform service for which they were paid. Despite my unhappiness with Toyota, I would consider the purchase of another because of the professionalism and honesty of Nick and Sean and the staff at Wellesley Toyota. More

Chris answered all my questions about my car, cheerfully called for a shuttle driver to take me back to Newton while my car was serviced, and offered to get me a shuttle back to the dealership when the service was complete. He even helped identify the reason for a front-end rattle that has defied diagnosis for months. More

Toyota of Wellesley is an awesome dealership. My husband and I have bought 2 cars from them in the past. We have had nothing but good experiences with them. We have also used their service department for ma and I have bought 2 cars from them in the past. We have had nothing but good experiences with them. We have also used their service department for maintenance etc. They are always very professional and helpful, something that is rare these days. We unfortunately ended up getting our latest car somewhere else (Boch of Norwood), something we really regret because we had an awful experience there. We will never buy anywhere else than Wellesley Toyota again! Also, I must commend Business Manager Michael Kispoglou for being super helpful with my warranty refund. I'm glad to see that length is encouraged, as I have so many positive things to share about my experience with Toyota of Wellesley and particularly about Eric Graf. I have worked with Eric Graf for a numbe many positive things to share about my experience with Toyota of Wellesley and particularly about Eric Graf. I have worked with Eric Graf for a number of years, and I find him to be the quintessential professional. Eric is quite personable, taking the time to listen to my concerns and needs offering options and ensuring that I am clear about the price point of each option as well as the pros and cons of each option and any short and/or long term ramifications. The time he spends establishes a high level of trust, which has been key for me in my continued relationship with Wellesley Toyota. In the past, I have owned a Ford as well as a Saturn and in each instance I have found less than satisfactory customer service. No one has come close to building a relationship, as has Eric Graf at Wellesley Toyota. I could go on and on about Eric, but suffice to say that he is just as good as it gets. This last visit was the first time I dealt with Greg Lee. It is clear that Greg is a part of the team that Eric has built, as he mirrors the same commitment to customer service that I have experienced with Eric. While Greg was my contact representative, I knew that Eric and Greg were in close contact about the options for my car, which ended up taking much longer to repair than we originally thought. Greg regularly updated me ameliorating the stress I was experiencing as I was due to leave for my mother’s surgery. He was reachable by email, and I was able to continue to be in contact while I prepared to leave. At one point he was to be off the next day, and he (Greg) emailed me at 10:30 PM to let me know that while he would be off the next day, he would be checking his email in case I had any questions. I didn’t need to reach him, but knowing that if I did have a question he was reachable, was a huge relief! Talk about going above and beyond! As I was preparing for this stressful time of my mother’s surgery and extended recovery, the last thing I needed was the added stress of an extended and expensive car problem. I can’t possibly reiterate enough how comforting it was to know that my car was in such good hands. Eric and Greg were so helpful and caring, the car was one less thing I needed to worry about. I knew that the car was being handled and that Eric and Greg were doing everything in their power to resolve the problems as quickly as possible. While the parts needed ended up taking longer than we had hoped to come in, at no point did I feel deserted or out of the loop; quite to the contrary, I felt as if I knew what was happening so that I could plan accordingly with trust that everyone was working to solve the problem as quickly as possible. Wellesley Toyota is to be commended for assembling such a talented service group. Clearly Eric Graf has set a tone for his team that permeates all parts of the service experience. I know that any time someone asks where to get his/her car serviced, I can’t say enough about Wellesley Toyota! While I have focused on the human touch of the service, I should also say that my car was returned to me in tip-top shape, with all of the problems addressed. The service team found the root of the problem, which was beyond the original ‘diagnosis.’ I was very appreciative of the attention to detail shown to all parts of the service experience. More

The overall experience with Toyota of Wellesley has been great!!! I purchased the car (Camry XLE) on Aug. 12, 2009, I have been in twice for service. The first time a warning light came on and I called and was told to bring it in right away. The people are the most friendly I have ever met at any given dealership. From the Managers, to the service people, and everyone I have ever had any dealings with have been the most friendly, helpful, and patient people I have ever met.
