The '08 Toyota Avalon(that we just purchased) is our third Avalon since 1998. We also own '01 Highlander. Last week, Bruce went in to Wellesley Toyota for a recall on his '03 Avalon(102K miles),and while he was waiting he met Jason Crede and asked about "used" Avalons. Jason was very courteous and knowledgeable about available used cars on the lot. He printed out several info sheets on a few used vehicles available for sale and gave Bruce his business card. Bruce and I did research on the '08 Avalon and returned to Wellesley Toyota for a test drive. Jason was extremely helpful with our questions, and helpful in our negotating the net "price" for the '08 Avalon. . Jason has followed up and solved our one and only concern.....the floor mats were a lighter grey...a new set has been ordered and will be available when Bruce goes back for the registration and safety inspection. Jason was polite, professional, and very laid back -- no pressure from him at all. He was exceptionally knoweldgable about the car I was interested in (Prius), and answered all my questions. I'm totally inexperienced at selecting and purchasing a used vehicle; I told Jason so when I walked in, and he did not take advantage of that fact. He even went so far as to put the car on the 'lift for me, so I could inspect the undercarriage of the vehicle (which was practically pristine). Price from the dealership was fair; I think I got a good deal for the vehicle in question. I walked in with a loan offer from a credit union; the dealership got me a loan with a better rate and similar terms. For the document fee, the dealership got me new plates, registration, arranged the title; they also had the car inspected and provided a full tank of fuel. I walked in on a Wednesday to see the car the first time; came back on a Saturday and closed the deal; picked the car up the next Tuesday. Prompt, professional, courteous -- and no feeling of "slick used-car salesman" -- totally unprepossessing, and I'd be happy to recommend anyone visit them to see if their used car inventory has what you're looking for. I had owned a Toyota Camry for 14 years and wanted to have the same quality that I experienced in my car. I compared several dealerships and chose Wellesley Toyota. The plates from my previous car needed to be removed and I was very glad that Martin Hansberry offered to come and remove them--they were rusted on and difficult to remove. This was during a pouring rain. Since I was giving my car to my son, he suggested I bring the new plates there and he would see to it that they were put on correctly. His customer service and his explanation of the new features would encourage me to advise any friend to seek him out for their next car buying experience.
