Due to a flash flood in August in Natick, my car was unexpectedly totaled. I had only purchased my car 15 months ago and now it was gone. I researched a few cars online and visited those dealerships but was turned off with the hard sell. I then saw a 2021 Kia Telluride and 2022 Toyota Highlander online at the Wellesley Mazda. I scheduled an appointment on a Sunday through the website, a positive experience, and arrived for my appointment the following Thursday evening for test drives. The salesperson I met with was Mike Winterson. From the moment I met Mike, he was patient in answering my many questions, knowledgeable, curious about my needs, and easy to work with. While it was late day on the last day of August, when most sales people are trying to close deals in the hopes of meeting their monthly targets, Mike didn’t give me the hard sale, rather, he talked about the value of the car I was interested in and how that met the requirements I had explained were important to me. I bought the 2021 Kia Telluride that night because it is a good car at a good value but more importantly, I bought it because of Mike Winterson. I had researched other pre-owned KIA Tellurides at other dealerships but it was Mike’s personable and customer-centric interactions with me that proved to be the reason I bought the car that night. I also appreciated that Mike did everything possible so that I could drive the car home on the next day, something I had not expected but certainly appreciated.
