He took us on multiple test drives, was very knowledgeable about the vehicle, and was a real pleasure to deal with. We ended up not purchasing the car, but will return to Bill and Wellesley Mazda without hesitation next time we are in the market. Highly recommended! More
One happy SENIOR! I knew it was time to upgrade my 1999 Toyota Camry so decided to change manufacturers as well as dealership. Since I am a lifelong resident of Welles I knew it was time to upgrade my 1999 Toyota Camry so decided to change manufacturers as well as dealership. Since I am a lifelong resident of Wellesley, MA and heard great reviews of Mazda, I decided to start my car search at our local Mazda dealership - WELLESLEY MAZDA! Never ventured any further. From the moment I stepped into the showroom, I knew this would be my new dealership. No pressure and the salesman, Bill Iannelli, was most courtesy and answered all my questions. Explained everything very thoroughly and convinced that this 76 y.o. senior that she could still drive a sharp RED car! Alex explained the features of the car and I could tell he would always be available to answer any questions going forward. Had a tour of the service center and met the service manager so all-in-all this was an excellent experience and I knew I made the right choices........................dealership and RED Mazda 3i GT. Looking forward to recommending this dealership to my friends and neighbors. Mary Bowers More
Very good work Wayne Xides did a great job, making a sale when things were stacked against him. We came to look at an advertised used car and Wayne greeted us. He wa Wayne Xides did a great job, making a sale when things were stacked against him. We came to look at an advertised used car and Wayne greeted us. He was helpful but not pushy, giving us the information we asked for and making things pleasant. When we went to test drive the car it turned out it had developed a little problem. We were about to walk away but Wayne managed to make the sale in such a way as to please and benefit everyone. When we came back to pick up the car, everything was perfect. Great work! More
Disappointing Car Buying Experience I am not new to purchasing a car however I am new to deceptive sales tactics used at the last minute in order to force me to buy a vehicle. If I wasn' I am not new to purchasing a car however I am new to deceptive sales tactics used at the last minute in order to force me to buy a vehicle. If I wasn't an educated buyer, I could have been tricked into a bad deal with Wellesley Mazda. This dealership agreed with me on a price for a new Mazda and a price for my trade in. After making me wait for 3 hours to meet with the business manager, my sales rep then informed me that I was not eligible for the incentive financing offered by Mazda. During this three hour time frame, they switched the plates from my old car to the new one, they even had the customer service manager meet with me. Yet, at the last minute, they leveraged a pressure style sales tactic to force me into a purchase. The GM didn't want to create a win-win situation and let me walk. I am surprised this dealership has positive ratings based on my experience. I will be sharing my feedback with others in my network who are considering purchasing a Mazda. Best advice I can give someone who is working with this dealer is to skip the sales rep and manager and speak with the business manager early. Save yourself the hassle. More
Bill I. made it easy. Although I did not end up buying a Mazda, it had nothing to do with my experience with Bill Iannelli or the dealership. In the old days, being a woma Although I did not end up buying a Mazda, it had nothing to do with my experience with Bill Iannelli or the dealership. In the old days, being a woman alone buying a car was a mortifying proposition, but this was the opposite. Although we were literally in a Nor'easter, Bill found me a car that fit my specifications and took me on a 10-mile test drive. He was polite, professional, and friendly. He is passionate about Mazdas and explained why, and had me put the car under various tests--hugging curves, doughnuts in a parking lot, etc.--to show its features. If this excellent brand is on your list, you should go to Wellesley. More
Great deal on a 2014 Mazda3 GT-S 5-door My salesperson at Wellesley Mazda, Fabiane Folker, was a nice lady, great to work with, and I LOVE my new 2014 Mazda3 GT-S 5-door! (My previous car w My salesperson at Wellesley Mazda, Fabiane Folker, was a nice lady, great to work with, and I LOVE my new 2014 Mazda3 GT-S 5-door! (My previous car was a 2005 Mazda3 5-door.) Although it was a difficult for them to locate a Mazda3 GT-S with exactly the features and accessories I wanted, they did a great job, and found one with 99% of what I asked for, which was close enough for me. As for the price, I used the Consumer Reports Auto Buying Service, which contacted a number of Mazda Dealers in the Boston area. Not only was Wellesley Mazda the closest dealer to take part in the service, they also offered the best price, so it was a no-brainer. I have watched Wellesley Mazda grow over the years, and have used their Service Department a number of times. They have always done great work, and I was happy to give them my business. More
Great no pressure buying experience I researched all the trim levels before coming to the showroom so I thought I knew exactly what I wanted pending a test drive. After the test drive I researched all the trim levels before coming to the showroom so I thought I knew exactly what I wanted pending a test drive. After the test drive (during which Paul pointed out many of the cars features (like the blind spot warning and the backup camera), we went back to the showroom and Paul went over all the trim levels with me again.(probably a dozen times). He was extremely knowledgeable and never got impatient even though I kept forgetting the differences between models. I think he thought I was ready to buy that day and when I said I needed to "sleep on it" he didn't pressure me. He understood this was a big decision. By the time I made a decision my car died and Paul picked me up and brought me back to the showroom. Since they knew I was without a car they went out of their way to get all the paperwork and registry stuff done immediately so I could drive my new car home the same day. The whole car buying experience was painless. I would recommend this dealership and I highly recommend Paul Liaknickas. More
Dishonest sales manager (Greg), nice GM and sales guys Had a really nice experience with Kevin, who is a new salesperson. He was honest, direct and polite. Honesty is the especially important one - he was frank with what he could and could not do. And Darren seemed friendly enough. However, Greg jumped in on the conversation (via email), left Kevin out of the conversation each email he sent, and proceeded to openly state things that were not true (regarding availability and price matching) and his overall cocky attitude left a bad aftertaste in my mouth. He completely lost this dealership the sale, as this is the most convenient dealership for me and I was really interested in finding a compromise, even if it meant them transferring a vehicle from a different dealership. I can't say for sure but it also seems like the 'policy' of price matching is words only - they were simply unwilling to match pricing, even when provided with direct quotes from other dealerships. Kevin gets 5 stars, Darren as well - but Greg gets 0 - cocky, dishonest and lives up to every bad stereotype of car salesmen. More
Dealing with a true professional. Car buying can be a horrible experience and I have been down that road before. I was fortunate enough to be dealing with Bill Iannelli at Wellesley Ma Car buying can be a horrible experience and I have been down that road before. I was fortunate enough to be dealing with Bill Iannelli at Wellesley Mazda. He was straightforward and a pleasure to do business with and I negotiated a good deal on a used 2007 Honda Accord for my son. My son was working at the time so I put a 24 hour $500 deposit on the car for him to take a look at it after work. My son ended up not liking the color so I let Bill know that evening that the deal was off. Bill immediately credited my account as soon as he heard from me. There is a reason he has been selling cars for over 14 years. Should you ever have to buy a car at Wellesley Mazda please ask for him and you will be glad you did. More
Dishonesty is the policy To avoid the usual tactics associated with car buying I conducted two conversations via email and one by phone to confirm that an offer was legitimate To avoid the usual tactics associated with car buying I conducted two conversations via email and one by phone to confirm that an offer was legitimate and set up an appointment to go through with the deal. Don't waste your time because nothing is as it seems - Bill was rude, manager Greg was just as rude and they make an attempted car deal worse than your wildest dreams. More
