I paid $500+ for pads and rotors on my rear brakes. I thought brake replacement would have a lifetime warranty at that price. When I looked over my paperwork, there was no information regarding a warra I thought brake replacement would have a lifetime warranty at that price. Secondly, I had to take my car back due to the driver’s side rotor turning rusty and the brakes were making a grinding noise when the car was in reverse or when making a stop. The explanation given at the dealership was I had only driven my car 200 miles since replacing the brakes and that was the reason why. The rust was cleaned off the rotor and I was sent on my way. I had the repairs done at the dealership and no where else because I didn’t want to be hassled by shoddy workmanship. Now I don’t trust them. I shouldn’t have to ask for the old parts just to have proof the repairs were actually performed. Today, the rotor in question is absolutely rusted back over. The other one not so much. I will be taking my car to an independent mechanic to get their professional opinion on what condition my brakes are currently in. My mind is not at ease when driving. More
