DO NOT SHOP HERE IF YOUR LIKE YOUR CAR AND MONEY!!! The other day my 2015 Ford Focus engine light came on while I was driving and a few seconds later the cars rpm went really high yet the car wouldnt go The other day my 2015 Ford Focus engine light came on while I was driving and a few seconds later the cars rpm went really high yet the car wouldnt go past 20 mph. Once I was able to pull over I also noticed the car wouldnt go in reverse as well. I had my car towed to this location, I told them what it was doing and they told me that they had to run diagnostics on the car and it would cost $135, but if it was the TCM (transmission control module) which was under warranty that the service fee would be waived. I knew this to be true because my previous 2013 Focus had broken down in Chicago and I had it towed to this location for the exact same problem. So I left my car there and a few hours later they called me and told me that they found a few different problems. He said they found a bad TCM but they also said that they needed to replace the clutch in the transmission and possible forks which is a $2400 repair. (If anyone knows anything about ford focus's they have terrible transmissions that cause shuttering and shaking in the lower gears. Ford had extended the warranty on the clutch because they knew it was a problem). NOTE- I had the clutch replaced on this car earlier this year and it has driven perfectly fine with no shutter issues. I automatically knew that when he told me that I needed to replace the clutch and possible forks that they were trying to scam me into changing part that were perfectly fine. I knew it was the TCM! (I am a locomotive mechanic/electrician and pretty mechanically inclined, so I can tell when I'm being taken for a ride). After arguing with the guy for a few minutes on the phone on how he/his tech came to the conclusion that the clutch was bad and being fed a bunch of bs, I declined to have any parts replaced besides the warrantied TCM. 3 days later they told me my car was ready to be picked up. When I go to the cashier to get my keys they told me that I owed $135 for a diagnosis. I told her that it was a mistake and the repair was under warranty so it shouldn't cost anything. So she gets Steve the service manager and he gives me some crap that they had to run some diagnostic to check for shuttering in the transmission...bla bla bla thinking I was gonna be an idiot and willfully pay the fee. He noticed I was upset and he started getting upset and assured me he wasn't going to take the fee off. Of course they hold the car hostage until the charges are paid so I was left no choice but to pay them. Once I paid it I walk back to the service dept and asked the lady behind the desk that I would like to see the test results that were "done" to my car. She was kind enough to help me out and went to get Steve again. This shady character, Steve was now even more pissed and told me that he was not gonna provide any information on the test. I again demanded to know the test results and why the test was done knowing that the car wasnt shuttering when he claimed it was. So this is where it gets real messed up. He goes in the back and scribbles on my receipt "TCM replaced $134.95" and "25-shutter RPM jumps". Comes back, hands me a copy of the scribbled on receipt and says, "here, this is all I'm gonna do for you!" First of all!? Why was "TCM replaced" never printed on the invoice till after he scribbled it in? How do I or this location have any record of replacing a TCM on my car if its not printed on the receipt? and secondly anyone can scribble anything on this receipt and say, "Here, now pay me" I guess. The other invoice with my receipt stapled to it claims that I was complaining that the car was shaking and shuttering when I never said that at all. It also says that I declined to replace the clutch and possible forks but never mentions that the TCM was replaced. I have no idea what was done to my car. Not sure if the angry manager Steve just wrote that on the receipt so I would leave, I feel as if poor (or lack of) information on the receipt will affect any warranties if I have any problems with my car in the future. I was also forced to pay for a diagnosis on my car and was told I would not be allowed to see the results of the "shutter test" that was supposedly done. I only asked for the results because I know it wasnt done and wanted to see how they would respond. I called Art Hill Ford in Merrillville and told their service rep what happened to me and asked them if I had a TCM under warranty if there is a charge on the diagnosis and he replied, "absolutely not!" He also kinda laughed in a way where he was also not surprised it happened. I contacted Corporate and let them know the situation and looking at other avenues on how to recoup my money that was stolen from me. More

Do NOT go Stopped in one night interested in a car they had for sale. They did multiple hard inquiries on my credit before they would even let me sit in the car Stopped in one night interested in a car they had for sale. They did multiple hard inquiries on my credit before they would even let me sit in the car, told it me it was standard procedure but never mentioned they were doing hard inquiries. I later found out from finance that they were lying and had no need to run my credit at all. Salesperson was extremely rude to both my wife and myself. Other salesmen and managers knew about the issues but they just told me to change salespeople. End of the day terrible customer service and terrible dealership to even consider working with, way over market on the car to start with and then still going to mistreat a customer from the second they walk through the door. I told him I am a 55 year old woman who doesn't know much about cars , and he took out the time just to make sure I understood everything. He even called me the next day and told me if I had any questions I can call or walk in. I needed help understanding the manual and he even walked me through it. Feeling assured not only before you buy the car, but even afterwards ,makes a person know they made the right choice. More

Ripoff -literally I didnt buy my car from Webb Ford, but based on their service department I never will buy from them. They will not diagnose the problem the first visi I didnt buy my car from Webb Ford, but based on their service department I never will buy from them. They will not diagnose the problem the first visit and their staff will steal everything of value out of your car (from a quarter in the cup holder to an iPod buried in the center console. When confronted they point to a sign that says they arent responsible for lost ot stolen items. Ive filed complaints with the B BB and the Indiana Attorney General. More
