I purchased a pre-owned Mazda MX-5. This is my second purchase from Wayne Mazda. Marc Roy was a pleasure to deal with. He was very knowledgeable about the car and helped me determine that the pre-owned vehicle was a better fit for what I was looking for than a brand new car. It's that type of honest service, where Marc acted as a trusted adviser and not just a salesman looking to push the highest price item, that will make me recommend he and Wayne Mazda to any one looking to purchase a car as well as bring me back the next time I am in the market. I originally came to Wayne Mazda looking for a different car that I had found using an online used vehicle finder service and was disappointed to learn that the car I was looking for had been sold. Things t car that I had found using an online used vehicle finder service and was disappointed to learn that the car I was looking for had been sold. Things turned out great anyway because Marlon was able to find me a truck that I liked and I was able to handle all of the details the same day. More
Any unsavory reviews given from us is not directed at our salesman Marlon Roberts, necessarily, but at just the entire experience. Wayne Mazda is a car dealership. Car dealerships are the only place in the c salesman Marlon Roberts, necessarily, but at just the entire experience. Wayne Mazda is a car dealership. Car dealerships are the only place in the country where the customer is tempted to pop a Xanax before coming in. It's the only place where the customer will be treated as a fool, and milked out of every last dollar the dealership can get from them. Wayne Mazda is not especially different from all it's other dealership counterparts, but it's not necessarily any worse, either. I answered "No" to would I recommend this dealership, but to be honest, what are you going to say to that? If you don't want to have one of the worst days of your life, don't go to ANY car dealership. If you want or need a new vehicle, however, it's unavoidable. Again, our salesman, Marlon Roberts, was pleasant, friendly (worlds more pleasant to be around than the woman from Finance), and seemed to be a nice guy that is good at his job (not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing). It just happens to be a job at one of the most dreadful businesses in the country. My husband actually described the day we purchased the car as "the worst day of his life". That's pretty bad. The only thing that bothered me about our salesman was that he left us a voicemail and sent me an email trying to get us to come back in due to some great incentives they had going for the weekend, and when we got there he said those incentives didn't apply to us. The advertised base price will not likely be honored, either. My Dad told me going into a car dealership would be one of the most unpleasant experiences of my life, and he was right. More
Ode to Al As I entered Wayne Mazda with my daughter Ode to Al As I entered Wayne Mazda with my daughter for the first time, I was met by a phalanx of smiling salesman, all I could think was “oh dear Ode to Al As I entered Wayne Mazda with my daughter for the first time, I was met by a phalanx of smiling salesman, all I could think was “oh dear, here we go again, I get spend my precious time with a crude, unknowledgeable car salesman. I hate buying cars, but until I can afford a Mercedes or Bentley this is what I get.” That’s when salesman Al Artesona came into the picture. Although his demeanor was low key and seemingly genuine I remained en garde for the obtuseness that was sure to follow. But it never came; Al turned out to be a regular guy, a smart guy too and demonstrated a calm sense of accommodation that never veered into the obsequious. When we took him (the car that is) for a test drive, which almost led to the New York state border, he never offered even a hint of impatience. It was if he was saying that if I was going to buy the car it would not be in-spite of him—as would be the case with every test drive of the competitors cars leading up to this. When we returned it was time to talk numbers. Of course there was the usual highball/lowball back-n-forth. This is a process which is carved upon the original tablet of The Ten Car Commandments sent down by the car gods over 100 years ago. Again, I hate buying cars. This was only a fleeting moment of obtuseness in the process as the manager presented a number that was clearly off the mark. Al, in his intermediary role handled my angst over the matter with perfect, understanding discretion. I chose not to shoot the messenger this time, in fact, if it had been any other salesman, I simply would have walked. Anyway, Al saved the day by keeping me on point as we whittled down the number to an agreeable level. Of course, I said “I’ll have to think about it.” Those six words are a cruel dagger in the heart of every salesman, especially as the prospect makes his way to the door. But Al never let-on his disappointment and contempt as he watched his commission walk out—because Al is simply not wired that way. As a result, we came back in the next day and bought the car. More
We went to several dealers looking for a car that would suit our current situation. (1 grandchild, another soon to arrive) Marlon Roberts, our salesman, was absolutely wonderful! He had us test drive a suit our current situation. (1 grandchild, another soon to arrive) Marlon Roberts, our salesman, was absolutely wonderful! He had us test drive a Maza3 Sport and it was perfect. He was knowledgeable, personable, professional, friendly, and patient with our many questions. We were able to close a deal with him; and finance it with the help of Bernadette. She is also an asset to Wayne Mazda. She took the time to explain the various options in a very pleasant and professional manner! It was a pleasure dealing with these two terrific individuals! More
My wife and I new we were interested in a 2013 CX-5, fully loaded in Red. We shopped other dealers who either didn't have the car or weren't willing to negotiate much on the price. Went on the Interne fully loaded in Red. We shopped other dealers who either didn't have the car or weren't willing to negotiate much on the price. Went on the Internet and found Wayne Mazda had the exact car I wanted and I asked for an online quote. When I received the quote I was very impressed with the pricing as it was significantly less than other dealers and in fact was actually less than "Dealer Cost", highly unusual for a new car just introduced to the market. Highly skeptical, my wife and I drove off to Wayne Mazda to meet with our assigned Sales person, Cosimo Lamantea. Upon arrival I was greeted by Cosimo who confirmed the car we were interested in and immediately arranged for a test drive. I could not believe the vast selection of new cars they have available. Every model, every color, every option... Once we decided we wanted the car, we went back to my online quote. Here is wher I figured things had to change for the worse. Surprised once again, the price was exactly as quoted. I asked if I qualified for the .9% 5yr financing and I was told no problem. I arranged to pick the car up later that week as I was waiting for an insurance check to cover my previous totalled car. Again Wayne Mazda came thru offering to accept a personal check for any net amount due after financing and they would hold the check for up to a week to allow for my insurance check to arrive. Wow... Finally the delivery of the car. Last chance for my skepticism to become reality. Upon arrival I met with Travis in Finance. All paper work was ready to go. I indeed qualified for the .9% 5 year financing so it was just a matter of agreeing on a down payment to make my monthly payments work. Travis worked thru the numbers until we arrived at an acceptable monthly payment and I then wrote a personal check for the difference. I then signed a personal Note stating they would hold my monies for additional 7 days as we had previously agreed. Travis even gave me a GREAT DEAL on an extended warranty. Once the financing was complete, our car was downstairs waiting. Cosimo explained all the important details on the use of the car and even setup the blue tooth for my wife and my cellphone. At the end of day, my experience could not have been better with Wayne Mazda and believe me I am tough to please. I would highly recommend purchasing from them and just to protect yourself, and eliminate negotiation, request an online quote on a car from their inventory before you go in to buy. A More
