I had a horrible experience with Samantha Weis over the phone. It started via email with a quote that was very hard to understand because it was in a paragraph format. When I called to clarify the quote, I found out it wasn’t even for the car that I was requesting because they sold that car. When I asked her to quote me on the correct car I was told they didn’t have any Mazda 3 sports but yet when I looked on line they showed them available. I tried to point this out so they could update their site and not mislead the customer but instead she snapped at me and in a very rude tone repeated that they did not have that car available. I then told her she didn’t need to be rude that I was just trying to point out that whoever is in charge of the website needs to update it. I then concluded by telling her I would not be doing business with them. It was very upsetting to have this experience because Wayne Mazda was on the top of our list and the first dealership we were going to visit. Instead we went to Crystal Mazda in Greenbrook, NJ. Crystal Mazda is the place to go if you’re in the market for a Mazda. HANDS DOWN they will give you the BEST car purchase experience. An unapologetic bait and switch shop. Called them ahead of time to confirm that my Truecar price certificate would be honored. When I arrived one hour later, they declined to honor the certificate, jacking up the price by $800 and adding a supposedly mandatory etching charge for all US bound Mazdas. The latter claim was subsequently refuted by several Mazda dealers contacted. Needless to say I walked out. I would rather pay more at another dealer than deal with these shysters. More

Ash, our sales person, was very good with follow-up and keeping us informed of when our vehicle would be in. Overall, a very nice experience. I highly recommend this dealership for anyone who wants to buy a new Mazda without a lot of sales pressure or haggling. More

I recently bought a new Mazda 3 Hatchback from Thomas Johnson at Wayne Mazda. He was an excellent sales rep to work with. Thomas was incredibly friendly and informative about the vehicles, and he was willing to ask his supervisors or look up answers that he did not readily know, rather than just make up responses like I've experienced at other dealers. When I went to Wayne Mazda, I was torn between the Mazda 3 Hatchback and the Hyundai Elantra GT Hatchback. I had already test drove both vehicles. Not only did Thomas take me on a longer test drive with the Mazda 3, but he even let me drive to the Hyundai dealership up the street and took me on a test drive in the Elantra GT so that I could compare the vehicles back to back. He must have an incredible amount of confidence in Mazda to accompany me on a test drive with the competition. On both test drives, he was very congenial and had great social skills. I never encountered the awkwardly disconnected small talk that I've experiences with many other sales reps. In the end I did end up purchasing the Mazda 3. Negotiations were somewhat tedious with the back-and-forth "let me check with my boss" on each price point, but it was nothing more than you would get at any other dealership. I ended up purchasing the exact car I wanted for less than MSRP, Fair Purchase Price, and Dealer Invoice. I got an excellent deal, especially since the car needed to be shipped in from another dealership (it was not in Wayne Mazda's dealer inventory). I worked with Junior Ortiz on filling out the final paperwork and checking on warranties. I was able to negotiate down on the extended warranty to get an excellent deal. Junior was very good to work with, making sure to explain every document I had to sign. I never felt like I was being taken advantage of or signing something I did not understand. Overall, I definitely liked my experience at Wayne Mazda. Thomas was a wonderful sales rep to work with. He added little touches that really made this a great car buying experience. He mailed a hand-written thank you letter after our initial test drive (which had a huge impact on my buying decision) and continues to check on me and my car even months after the purchase. As an added touch, he would always play some type of Mazda video on his iPad or let me play around on the website when he had to leave his desk to talk to his supervisor or get the test drive car ready; it was a nice way to increase my patience when waiting at a car dealership. His service is the reason why I am taking so much time for this review, and I would definitely recommend Thomas Johnson to any future Mazda customers. More
