One of the selling points for leasing a Hyundai Tuscon from Wayne Hyundai was the free oil changes. For a month now, I have been trying to schedule an appontment online for an oil change without success. from Wayne Hyundai was the free oil changes. For a month now, I have been trying to schedule an appontment online for an oil change without success. After finally calling the service center, it turns out the next appointment avaiable is in March 2025! That's 7 months from now! Are you kidding me? Now I need to pay out of pocket for this routine maintenance that should take 30 minutes. There's not a chance the Wayne Hyundai management will cover that charge from another service center. What an absolute scam! Stay away! You've been warned! More

I was told when I purchased this vehicle that I would have free oil changes. When I had the vehicle for about 4 months, I called to schedule my first oil change. This was in early November 2023. The f have free oil changes. When I had the vehicle for about 4 months, I called to schedule my first oil change. This was in early November 2023. The first available appointment was for June 2024. I confirmed that it was indeed 8 months from my call and I was told yes, that was the first available appointment. I consider this a scam to get customers to purchase vehicles. When I tried to contact my salesman and the manager of the facility, I got the runaround. I will never purchase another vehicle from Wayne Hyundai and I will discourage anyone from purchasing at this location. More

Service for your car takes place at the Wayne Mazda and they are horrible. They have had my our car for 3 days and have not even looked at it! No loaner car- no communication! We have been without a car for 3 days and they can not tell us how long they will have it! No suggestions on how to help - no rental car help. Crazy. Never buy from them - find a dealer that has great customer service. You need that since if its under warranty you are stuck with using a Hyundai repair shop. More
SEE RESPONSE FROM DEALER BELOW I am actually rating this service department zero stars but it won’t let you post the review unless you give at least one star. Let me start off by saying I never write revie service department zero stars but it won’t let you post the review unless you give at least one star. Let me start off by saying I never write reviews good or bad. But this time I had to vent. Avoid this service center "STEALERSHIP" at all costs. First off when I bought my Hyundai I was told that I had free oil changes for life. Great. So I try to get a service appointment and they were booked three months out. xxx so I make the appointment. Went in for a 50,000 service. Was quoted about $750. After car was inspected the usual things like $120 extra for cabin and air filters and shop supplies Ok fine. "you need front brakes ok how much. Hold on while I get the price. That will be $989 total. Ok do it.I figured not too bad another $275-300 for the front brake job not too bad. I just had back surgery and usually do this myself. 5 hours later car is ready. Total bill is $1711.41 and that’s with a 33% coupon off on scheduled maintenance services. Turns out that $989 price was just for the front brakes and rotors. I told them you gotta be xxxxtin me! Asked for a manager and some 20 something kid in a suit says I'm the manager. He tells me to hold on a minute you don't understand. I said oh no I understand as I pointed to the artist rendering of the new building that's currently under construction. He says Brake shoes a very expensive like $200 plus dollars and are guaranteed for life. I asked how about rotors. Oh no just the pads. So I laughed in his face and told him I have been working on cars since I was 14 and $989 for a front brake job is ridiculous. I turned around to all of the service advisors who at this point we’re all looking at us and told them this place is a rip off and they would never see me again. I strongly suggest that you take your car to a local repair shop. At least if he rips you off you can argue with the owner directly. This place is the definition of "Stealership". I hope upper management reads this. DEALER RESPONSE I spoke with Devan Prediger service manager today. We had a lengthy conversation. I explained that I believe that I was misinformed or misinterpreted the amount of the total cost of the work. I assumed the total for all the work was approximately $989. As it turned out that was the cost of the bakes alone. I was extremely upset when I was presented with a total of $1,711. I would have never approved the $989 for a single axle brake replacement which according to my research before I went in for service was approximately $350 per axle. This prompted by negative review . Devan apologized for the 4 month wait to get this service appointment and miscommunication and explained the reasons for the delay. I believe we have resolved the issue and I look forward to once again doing business with Wayne Mazda. On the positive side I told him I was impressed with the video from the service mechanic. Therefore I am changing my former rating of this service department and the dealer responded quickly and we came to terms. More
Hello there sir or to whom it may concern, I've been waiting on a maintenance checkup for the last 4 months and when I've tried to call to ask why there's nothing on the schedule to schedule an appointm waiting on a maintenance checkup for the last 4 months and when I've tried to call to ask why there's nothing on the schedule to schedule an appointment your staff says that they don't have enough mechanics so therefore service has been pushed back 3 months and I cannot wait that long because I've been very on point with my car and the last time I've been there you guys failed to give me my multipoint inspection sheet and cost me a bundle of money cuz you guys didn't tell me that my battery was dying and other things as well so I was a bit disappointed about the whole situation after coming to you guys for 8 years I felt that wasn't very nice to do to an existing customer. So if you guys have any availability I'll be more than happy to bring it in in the morning it would be greatly appreciated cuz I can't seem to get any appointments through you guys and that's very disappointing.... Sincerely, A. Maniscalco More
I had the a horrible experience dealing with the service department, i was lied to for months and serviced was withheld for 10 days even before they started to work on my car. as soon as i got Hyundai corp department, i was lied to for months and serviced was withheld for 10 days even before they started to work on my car. as soon as i got Hyundai corporate involved all of a sudden my car was being worked on almost immediately. Nick the service manager is either incompetent or had some sort of personal issue with me. Even dough i had gotten loaner from them multiple times in the past. as soon as i got corporate involved my Transmission was replaced. This experience was so bad that after 2 Hyundai genesis and 1 Genesis G80 and a Santa Fe i have call it quits with Hyundai. they sell a Luxury brand that can cost you up to 75 thousand dollars for a car and provide you with sonata level service. Since almost all dealerships are family owned and they dont care about the clients nothing will be done here. STAY AWAY FROM WAYNE MAZDA AND WAYNE HYUNDAI. More
Incompetent staff Shopped for a Hyundai for a couple of months. Passed over Wayne Hyundai because of rude sales people. Once my name was out there multiple sales peop Shopped for a Hyundai for a couple of months. Passed over Wayne Hyundai because of rude sales people. Once my name was out there multiple sales people from the dealership pestered me non stop despite my requests they allow me to reach out to them. Purchased my car at Towne Hyundai in Denville....excellent experience !!!! Fast forward...having trouble getting in for my Kona's 5000 mile service due to my busy schedule. Co-worker suggests Wayne Hyundai as it is less than 4 miles from the office. Talks me into it despite my reservations due to sales department. Schedule my appointment, ask if I will still receive free service as my vehicle is a 2020 but not purchased there. Assured by a person named Desirea or Deidre I am covered. Trouble locating the service department as it is not at the dealership site. Google the address...still having trouble as the giant sign says Mazda....miss the first turn and end up in an adjoining lot. Walk to service...meet the Desirea or Deidre person. Explain my parking dilemma. She stares at me and says you cant use our cut through...drive 23 N then turn around for 23 South and then come back up 23 North, (This will take me at least 15 minutes, she stares off into space and dismisses me.) I go outside, ignore the ignorance and use the cut through. Drive to the garage, no one available to tell me what to do, where to register. I get out of my car and find a competent man who has me drive my car in and go back to the office with my registration paper he handed me. I stand on line for 15 minutes, no acknowledgement from counter people despite customers having left. A simple hello, be right with you would have been nice. Finally get to the counter, another competent man assists me. Five minutes into the conversation I am told I will have to pay for the 5000 mile service because I did not purchase my car there. I explain I was told it was covered, he apologizes for the "misunderstanding". I request a card for the manger and receive a card for Nick DiPiano. I leave, call Town Hyundai and schedule for next week. Now I reach out to Nick to let him know about the poor service I received. Girls answering the phone want to know why I want to speak with him, it takes two calls and 10 minutes on hold and I finally am put through to Nick, I ask for his last name and he tells me "We don't give out our last names". This seems ridiculous as I have a business card with his full name. I assume this is just someone the girls passed me on to rather than the manager. I call back and get Nick again, I ask for his last name and he says he has no idea who I am, I identify myself and ask why his full name is on his business card handed to me at the desk. He finally identifies himself. I explain the situation, everything from the Mazda sign rather than Hyundai to using the cut through just to find out I would be required to pay for the service I was told were free. Turns out it was ! Again with the apologies..the staff doesn't know about the free service as it has only been in place since February, FEBRUARY...IT IS NOW JULY !!!! When might the staff be told about this ????? Nick now sees how stupid this all is...how stupid his no last name rule and incompetent staff are. He offers me pick up/drop off service along with a loaner car. I refused it all, I wouldn't trust these people with my new car. To top it off Nick shares some info with me....he is trying to get this dealership back in order since the pandemic...one of the staff who's name he shared with me has already been replaced, the replacement is being trained and then "the body we kept because we need someone to sit at the desk" will be fired. WOW...I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS DEALERSHIP. I WANTED THE NO STAR OPTION BUT THAT DOES NOT EXIST. More
Finance department does not respond I leased a Hyundai for 3 years in 2016 and bought the wear-and-tear insurance. Upon returning the vehicle, I was billed for some excessive scratches. I leased a Hyundai for 3 years in 2016 and bought the wear-and-tear insurance. Upon returning the vehicle, I was billed for some excessive scratches. Apparently, the Wayne dealership "forgot" to submit the wear-and-tear insurance company information to Hyundai Motor Finance. I have called in 12 times to recover this information and never received a call back. I spoke directly to the relevant finance manager early on in the process but he told me that 2016 information was archived and he would look into it and then get back to me. That was 3 months ago and no word, despite countless more phone calls to them. Hyundai Motor Finance is now threatening with a collection's agency and a poor credit report and HMF refuses to get involved with the dealership information. The process is extremely frustrating, time-consuming and unnecessary. 2 Stars because the salespeople were all great during vehicle acquisition, but the customer service thereafter has been terrible.
